Gold balls - to Ukrainian talents!

On November 30, 2016, the Children's and Youth Football League's laureates' awards ceremony took place at the House of Football.

TV shooting, star presenters, a festive stage, a performance of football freestylers, competitions and, perhaps, the first mini-interviews - on the last day of autumn the best young Ukrainian players felt like real stars. On this day, the Children's and Youth Football League of Ukraine for the first time in history with special awards - "Golden Balls" - celebrated the winners of the 2016/2017 season in each age category and chose the best coach.

The honorary guests of the ceremony were the President of the Football Federation of Ukraine Andriy Pavelko, the President of DUFL Vitaliy Bort, well-known players of the USSR and Ukraine, current players of Dynamo Kyiv and Shakhtar, who awarded the winners and nominees. 

"Children's football is the basis of the whole pyramid of the game of millions," FFU President Andriy Pavelko said in his welcoming speech. - I am grateful to the President of DUFL Vitaly Bort for such an initiative, which we supported. This gives you the opportunity to set maximum goals and achieve them. We must do everything for the quality training of the new generation of Ukrainian players, and when they become adults, not only hope for successful performances of national teams, but also expect it. " 

In turn, the President of DUFLU Vitaliy Bort expressed hope that such events to celebrate and award the best will become traditional, and the number of nominations will increase every year. "Perhaps the most difficult thing for the jury was to choose the best coach," said Vitaly Bort.

In the youngest age category of U-14, Shakhtar defender Mark Mampassi was named the best player in the defense plan. He received a memorable prize from Vyacheslav Shevchuk, a well-known player of Shakhtar and the national team of Ukraine. The strongest striker, according to the jury, was Nazar Voloshin from Dynamo. Former Shakhtar and Ukraine forward Andriy Vorobey presented him with the award.

 

In the U-15 age category, the winners of both nominations were young Dynamos.

Dynamo defender Ilya Zabarny (named by Shakhtar defender Serhiy Kryvtsov) was named the best player in the defense plan, and his teammate, midfielder Artem Kulakovsky, who received the award from Shakhtar midfielder Maksym Malyly, was named the strongest player in the attacking plan.

Next came the turn to choose the best players in the U-16 category.

It should be noted that representatives of Donetsk Shakhtar won in both nominations. Goalkeeper Anatoliy Trubin was named the best player of the defense plan, who received an award from his colleague in the role, Dynamo goalkeeper Georgy Bushchan. Among the attacking players were not equal to the striker Mikhail Mudryk. He was awarded by the famous midfielder of Kyiv "Dynamo" Oleg Gusev.

In the oldest age category of the DUFLU U-17 championships, experts gave their votes to the following players: Dynamo midfielder Bohdan Biloshevsky (awarded by teammate Vitaliy Buyalsky) was named the best defender, and none of the attacking players could surpass Dnipro striker Vladislav.

After giving out individual prizes to the winners in all four age categories of DUFL Championships, the turn came to adult football players. Following on from the debut of the U-19 country championship, two top players have also been identified.

Here the victory was also celebrated by representatives of one club, the winner of the final of four, "Cherkasy Dnipro". Defender Ilya Nikitenko was recognized as the strongest defender, Oleksiy Perederiy was recognized as the most useful in attacks on the opponent's goal.

Oleksiy Drotsenko from Dynamo Kyiv was named the best coach of the 2016/2017 season. Last season, the team of the capital's U-17 club under his leadership won gold medals at the DUFLU championship. This season, he leads the youngest boys from the U-14 team, the team is in second place in his group. The award was presented by the legendary winner of the 1975 UEFA Cup and Super Cup, Volodymyr Troshkin.
