Results of performances of all Ukrainian national football teams in 2017

The last year has given our country a lot of sports in number one sport. The national teams won victories at world and European forums, thus asserting the football authority of Ukraine.

Although our national team and failed to make it to the World Cup, Andriy Shevchenko's team has shown that it has good prospects. Moreover, the young generation of players who participated in the selection for Euro-2019 is approaching. The U-21 team is third in the group and in 2018 will continue the fight for the vouchers for the European Championship, as well as for missing out on the 2020 Olympic Games.

U-19 Ukraine UXNUMX team failed to beat elite round of selection to continental championship in March, but in autumn the team confidently passed first qualifying for Euro 2018, winning the group with Norway, Montenegro and Albania. Oleksandr Petrakov's wards also came third at the Stefan Vilotic Memorial. The same U-18 team won the annual Federation Cup, beating Latvia in the final.

The U-17 team overcame the elite round of selection for the European Championships in March, becoming second in the group with France, Austria and Sweden. In May, our boys competed in the Continental Championships in Croatia, where they finished third in the group with England, the Netherlands and Norway. Already in autumn the team from the second place in the quartet was updated made it to the elite round of the 2018 European Championship. And at the beginning of the year, the U-16 team performed well in the Aegean Cup, taking silver.

Women's soccer is developing rapidly in Ukraine. The home team participates in the selection for the 2019 World Cup and is third in the group with Denmark, Sweden, Croatia and Hungary. The female "youth" was a little short to get to Euro 2018 - third place in the group. The U-17 girls' national team performed at the UEFA Development Tournament as well tested its strength in the selection for the European Championship.

Domestic futsalists won a direct ticket to the February Euro in Slovenia. Oleksandr Kosenko's wards at the Palace of Sports won important victories over Croats, Montenegrins and Belgians. The youth and girls teams played in the UEFA Development Tournaments and took part in the selection for the U-17 Olympic Games.

Ukrainian "beachgoers", although they did not defend the championship in the Euroleague, but took second place in a friendly tournament in Iran. Once again, the student team tried its hand at the Universiade. The team of veterans for the second time in a row won the Legends Cup, which was held in Tampa (USA) in 2017.

The national teams among players with disabilities were very pleased. The Paralympians brought gold from the Argentine World Cup, where they defeated the Iranians in the final. Also, the first place in the World Cup was won by a team of visually impaired futsal players - in the decisive match, our guys defeated England. There were also players with hearing impairments who won silver at the Turkish Deaflympics.

As we can see, there are enough gains, and it remains to be wished that next year our national teams will represent Ukraine in various competitions equally worthy.
