Futsal Euro 2018: Ukraine has not stood before the current champion and is leaving the tournament
The Ukrainian futsal team lost to Spain in the minimum and leaves the European Championship for the fifth consecutive time after the quarter-finals.
In the last match of the quarter finals Ukrainian and Spanish national teams came together. The Blue and Yellows left the group with second place, defeating Romania (3:2) and conceding to Portugal (3:5). After a draw with France (4: 4), the Spaniards won the battle for the first position in their trio in Azerbaijan (1: 0).
The seven-time European champions immediately took the initiative and began to harass Ivanyak again and again. Ukrainians were nervous and allowed opponents to break through from different positions. However, the Hurricane goalkeeper did not tire of working miracles in the frame and confidently playing on the outings. The blue-and-yellows also acted constrained by the large number of fouls that could lead to a penalty.
In the 13th minute Ivanyak eliminated the danger, playing great with his feet, and in the next attack the opponents forgave us without hitting the goal. Then there was a great moment for our team, but Korolyshyn did not have enough inches to score. However, Spain quickly regained the initiative. And in the 18th minute, the yellow and reds still achieved their goal - Lin passed to Paul, who from the left flank irresistibly scored in the very nine gates of the national team of Ukraine.
In the second half, the blue and yellows looked more active and often made good combinations. Pedyash struck a dangerous blow in the 26th minute. However, later the Spaniards added, and Ivanyak had to work. Our goalkeeper eliminated the exits on himself Miguelina and Lina, repulsed a few more powerful shots.
Over time, Alexander Kosenko began to use the fifth field player, but it did not bring any dividends. In the 37th minute, the Spaniards almost took advantage of the absence of our goalkeeper. After that, the blue and yellows had no special chances, and Ivanyak's skill allowed him not to miss in the last minutes.
Thus, Ukraine played decently, but did not stand before the main favorites of the European Championship. With one win and two defeats in the asset, our team leaves Slovenia.
