The fifth attempt of Dynamo in the UEFA Europa League playoffs

The history of Dynamo Kyiv's performances in the Europa League, which was created in the 2009/2010 season on the basis of the former UEFA Cup, has six attempts.

So far, the highest achievement of the Ukrainian club in this tournament is reaching the quarterfinals in the seasons 1/4 and 2010/2011.

2010/2011

The first test of Kyiv's Dynamo in the group round of the Europa League. Being in a quartet with BATE, Sheriff and AZ, the Ukrainian club took first place, winning three. In the 1/16 finals, Dynamo defeated Besiktas, and in the 1/8 - Manchester City. The victorious move of Kyiv was interrupted by the modest Portuguese Braga, which lost to its compatriots from Porto in the final.

2011/2012

Dynamo's unsuccessful European campaign took place in a group with Besiktas, Stoke City and Maccabi TA. In the group round, Dynamo won only once, over the Turks at home, and finished third in the quartet.

2012/2013

This season, Dynamo was immediately in the 1/16 finals of the tournament, dropping into the Europa League from the Champions League. However, the French "Bordeaux" did not allow the white and blue to go further.

2013/2014

Finishing second in the group, where their rivals were "Genk", "Rapid" and "Thun", Kiev already lost in the 1/16 finals to Spanish "Valencia". We will add that in the group tournament the Ukrainian club won three victories.

2014/2015

Having won the group in "Aalborg", "Steaua" and "Rio Ave", Dynamo beat French "Guingamp" in the 1/16 finals, in the 1/8 - English "Everton", but in the 1/4 lost to the Italian " Fiorentina ".

2017/2018

This season Dynamo confidently won its group, where his rivals were "Partizan", "Young Boys" and "Skanderbeu". Kyiv won four victories in the quartet and was five points ahead of its nearest competitor. In the 1/16 finals, the Ukrainians had to play with AEK. The matches will take place on February 15 (in Greece) and February 22 (in Ukraine).
