Eduard Sobol: "After the break, we clung to our goal ..."

Defender of our national team Eduard Sobol came on the field in the match with Saudi Arabia in the 65th minute.

- Not everything was successful for the national team of Ukraine in this match. You came out in the second half. How do you rate the game?

- If we compare the two halves, our national team spent the first half much better. After the break, we pressed a little closer to our goal, but I want to note that we still had moments, and the team could well have won this match.

- What task did the team coach set for you? 

- Andriy Mykolayovych did not set any special tasks during the break. Everything that was needed was said in advance in the theoretical classes. The case of a flank defender is reliability in defense and, at the first opportunity, assistance in attack.

- Do you think you managed in your position?

- Evaluating my game is, first of all, a matter of coaches. They will disassemble the match and point out mistakes. 

- Didn't the field prevent the best performance of our team? It seems to have failed drainage?

- I will not complain about the condition of the lawn. In my opinion, the field was of normal quality and allowed to play speed football.

 - Is there a feeling of dissatisfaction after the game?

- Of course. Although it was a friendly match, the team was serious about winning. Unfortunately, it did not work out.

- There will be another game and an opportunity to correct mistakes ...

- We will prepare no less seriously than for this match. 

The Japanese team is waiting for the national team of Ukraine in the next match. The match will take place on March 27 (starting at 15.20 Kyiv time) in Liege, Belgium.
