U-18: Ukraine national team defeats Wales in the Slovakia Cup

The Ukrainian youth team (players not older than 2000) beat the Wales team in the fifth place match.

Today, Serhiy Popov's wards ended their performance in the Slovak Cup with a match against the Welsh national team. In the match for the fifth place, the blue-yellows did not leave any chances for the Welsh team - 5: 0.

Already in the 2nd minute Zhelezko opened the scoring. On the 11th Isayenko scored a penalty. In the second half, Cold put the game in the 65th minute. And the fourth and fifth balls were scored by Sikan (73 minutes and 75 minutes).

Thus, the wards of Sergei Popov took the fifth place. And Slovakia triumphed in the competition, which defeated the Czech Republic 1-0 in the first place.

It will be recalled that in October this year (10th-16th), the youth national team of Ukraine (U-18) will play in the qualifying round of Euro-2019. Sergei Popov's team was in Group 8, where it was accompanied by Albania (host of the tournament), Slovakia and Norway. The two best national teams will advance to the elite round. The matches of the second stage of the competition will take place in the spring of next year, and the final part of the Euro will take place in July 2019 in Armenia.
