Media of Ukraine and Europe opened the day of the Champions League final

Ukrainian and British journalists, accredited to cover the UEFA Champions League final, opened a list of special sports events on May 26 with a friendly match on Saturday morning.

The team of sports journalists of Ukraine constantly holds matches not only with colleagues from other countries, but also with teams of representatives of various professions, as recently - with the team of notaries of Ukraine.

A great idea to play a friendly match on the day of the Champions League final came from Ukrainian and British media almost simultaneously. The idea was supported by the Football Federation of Ukraine, which provided the emerald lawn of the Victor Bannikov Stadium for the game, as well as made a memorable game uniform with the emblem of the most prestigious club trophy in the Old World.

Before the match, both teams were greeted by FFU First Vice President Nazar Kholodnytsky, who wished the sports media to fully enjoy a unique moment: starting Saturday on the football field, journalists will end a busy day in the arena of the NSC "Olympic", covering a significant event in world football.

By agreement, two or three ex-professional players were to act in both teams. However, British media experts let their team down a bit and did not come to the morning match - apparently, the time difference was noticeable. Instead, Vladyslav Vashchuk and Vitaliy Lysytskyi, as promised to the sports media, were warming up on time. At the same time, goalkeeper Serhiy Pohorily took a place in an uncharacteristic position - in attack.

The Ukrainians immediately started attacking and quickly opened the scoring for the goals scored. This is a student of the Institute of Journalism Vyacheslav Kurochenko punched exactly in the corner from the right edge of the penalty area. Soon the Ukrainians excelled for the second time - the clearly played combination of touches was elegantly completed by the correspondent of the FFU press service Andriy Mayorov. And at the end of the half, the supporting midfielder of the Ukrainian team Vitaliy Lysytsky managed a great shot into the corner from 30 meters - and it was 3: 0! However, the British did not lose heart and managed to score under the curtain of the half "in the locker room": a shot from a long distance threw the Ukrainian goalkeeper Liverpool Echo correspondent James Pierce.

The second half started again with a Ukrainian goal. It was Serhiy Pohoriliy who celebrated his debut as a forward with an accurate header! The Ukrainians continued to dominate the field, although the British hardly created very promising moments to score. Andriy Butko ("2 + 2"), Vitaliy Misyura from the "Football" TV channel and Volodymyr Zverov from the "ProFootball" program also scored goals in the Ukrainian media team. For the British, the German journalist "Süddeutsche Zeitung" Rafael Honigstein scored, which clearly strengthened the English team.

7: 2 in the end, but the main result of the match is a friendly relationship between representatives of different teams and the spirit of football, the crown of which will be today's final!
