Yevhen Konoplyanka: "I probably won't be able to play as long as Anatoliy Tymoschuk"

Midfielder of German "Schalke" and the national team of Ukraine Yevhen Konoplyanka on the official channel of FFU on YouTube answered questions from fans of the national team.

— Skhow many more years do you plan to perform at the highest level? Did not think about the possible move to MLS?

"The United States?" No, I haven't thought about it yet. Maybe I'll think about it in a few years. But so far there are no such opinions. I still want to play in decent championships - England, Spain ... Germany also has a good championship. Time is running out, of course. I will play as much as I can, and we'll see. I try to keep myself in shape. Like Tolya Tymoschuk, I probably can't, although I would be happy. There are no more like him.

— Eugene, please tell me which of the players was your idol or who you wanted to follow?

- For me as a childhood idol was Del Piero. I don't even know why. Andriy Shevchenko then played for AC Milan. I also liked Rosso Neri, but for me Del Piero was the best. Then I liked Ronaldinho. Now the favorite is Messi. He demonstrates fantastic football. Ronaldo can just score, and Messi can score, and then give the same number of assists.

— Do you like the diet at the national team camp??

- Yes of course. Everything is great, I like everything.

— In whichDoes a football player need to go to Europe to grow? Don't you regret not having gone before?

- No. In life you can not regret anything, you need to look ahead and not look back. You will not return the past. I do not want to say why I did not go earlier or why it happened. I am happy with what I have at the moment. In Ukraine, too, they know how to educate football players, and now they are given a chance. It turns out there are talented guys. That's why it's a golden time for young performers. I do not want to say how they are brought up in Europe. I am a patriot of Ukraine and I believe that we can also play no worse than the Europeans.

— How do you live in Germany?

- I like everything. But I would like, of course, to play where there is more heat. When your children are sick, it's a lot of stress. I am ready to play where it is cozy and warm - and without diseases. When they are all right and I am happy. 

— Who are you most comfortable with?іwill play in the collectionіpHіand Ukraїnor?

- When Ruslan Rotan was in the national team, I was with him. We performed together at Dnipro for many years. It is a pleasure to play next to such a football player. He cleans everything around you, he knows what to do. It saves your energy to make your moment. Ruslan is a man with a capital letter. And not only in football, but also off the field.

— Which partner do you consider to be the most technical??

- Earlier it was Andrey Yarmolenko, and now Marlos was added. Here are two of them and the name. Earlier Artem Fedetsky was in the national team.

— Which you will call the ball the most important in your career?

- I often remember the goal against Ajax as part of Dnipro when we reached the Europa League final. This was incredible! But I still remember Seleznyov's goal against Napoli when I gave Eugene a goal assist. I will not forget these emotions ... I wanted to kiss him. I remember how Markevich ran out on the field. For the sake of such emotions, he is ready not to score until the end of his career in order to give assists.

— What is your hobby?і?

- I like tennis. In my free time I try to play, although there is really little time. We want to play everything with Andriy Voronin. He says he is second in the rankings after Roger Federer. Let's see!
