Mykola Shaparenko: “They were concentrating more on tactics”
Mykola Shaparenko, a newcomer to the national team of Ukraine, shared his impressions after a friendly match against Morocco.

— Nicholas, we congratulate you on your debut. The game was not easy, the Moroccans were pressing. How you feel?
- Thank you very much for the congratulations. Yes, it was not easy, the opponents controlled the course of the match. Our championship is over, so we focused more on tactics, moves, than on possession of the ball.
— Was it difficult to get into the game? Worried?
- There was a small mandrake, but everything is fine.
— You had the opportunity to score. Was it valid or did you know where you wanted to go?
- I wanted to hit the far corner, which was open, but the defender blocked the shot.
— After playing with Morocco, did you feel what you need to work on in order to continue to improve?
- Of course, there is always something to work on, for example, a quick way out of defense. Also, the head coach will tell you something, point out mistakes.
