Caritas Cup: participants will be able to attend the matches of the Ukrainian national team for free

June 2 on the field of STC. V. Bannikov, the All-Ukrainian Caritas Cup football tournament among children of socially vulnerable groups took place in Kyiv.

More than 110 participants from 11 teams from different regions of Ukraine took part in the competition: Caritas (Brody, Lviv region); Caritas-Donetsk (Dnipropetrovsk region); "Flint" (Lugansk region); "Domovyonok" (Odessa region); "Podolsk Legion" (Khmelnytsky region); "Ternove Pole" (Ternopil region); "Kamyanske-Caritas" (Dnipropetrovsk region); Stanichnyk (Luhansk region); Caritas (Kyiv); Caritas (Zaporizhia region); "White Lions" (Lviv).

Honorary guests were present at the opening ceremony: First Vice President of the Football Federation of Ukraine Oleh Protasov, Deputy Minister of Youth and Sports of Ukraine Oleksandr Yarema, President of the Caritas Ukraine International Charitable Foundation Andriy Vaskovych, Kyiv City Council Deputy Yulia Loban.

 

According to the results of meetings in group tournaments, the four best teams reached the 1/2 of the competition. In the semifinals, Caritas (Kyiv) defeated Kamyanske-Caritas (Dnipropetrovsk region) with a score of 10: 0, and Kreminna (Luhansk region) defeated Caritas (Zaporizhzhya region) 2: 1. In the game for the third place Zaporizhzhya was stronger than the representatives of Dnipropetrovsk region - 4: 0, and in the final Luhansk in a series of post-match penalties (playing time - 1: 1) with a score of 5: 4 defeated Kyiv.

Vadym Kostyuchenko, First Vice President of the Football Federation of Ukraine, Ihor Tsyhanyk, TV presenter of the ProFootball program, Volodymyr Vasylenko, President of the Ukrainian Association for the Development of Children and Youth Football, and Yulia Loban, Kyiv City Council deputy, summed up the results of the tournament and congratulated the winners. Each team and player received cups, diplomas, medals, soccer balls and valuable gifts.

The best player of the tournament was Dmytro Panfilovych (Kyiv), the best defender was Artur Shamansky (Zaporizhzhya region), the best goalkeeper was Eduard Sokolov (Luhansk region).

 

Also, all participants were awarded commemorative diplomas, souvenirs, T-shirts and caps of the company "Legia" and footballs from the Football Federation of Ukraine. Vadym Kostyuchenko presented a representative of the Caritas Ukraine Charitable Foundation with a certificate for free attendance of Caritas Cup participants in the matches of the national team of Ukraine.
