First League. Appointment of Kovalets, Tlumak and Chervenkov: coaching rotations in the off-season

The Professional Football League has received a letter from the FFU with information on the certification of clubs to participate in all-Ukrainian competitions of the 2018-2019 season under the auspices of the PFL. Among these FCs there are 18 representatives of the first division. However, the final membership will be approved at the PFL Conference, scheduled for June 27.

Instead, we can already say that the highlight of the current off-season is quite loud changes on the coaching staff. However, Obolon-Brovar fans do not need to be particularly introduced to the new manager, Serhiy Kovalets, as he has already headed the Brewers from January 2010 to October 2011. It was under his leadership that Obolon-Brovar became the first team to beat Shakhtar at Donbass Arena. Recently, this specialist has worked abroad, leading the Lithuanian "Trakai" and the Slovak "Tatran".

But the former head coach of Sevastopol and Kyiv's Arsenal, Angel Chervenkov, became the head coach of Chornomorets. And if a contract was signed with Serhiy Kovalets under the "1 + 1" scheme, then the Bulgarian mentor in Odessa is expected in the next three years. Angel Chervenkov's last place of work was Lokomotiv (Bulgaria).

As for the new head coach of Volyn Andriy Tlumak, he has not worked with teams of this level yet, but he has previously proved himself well, leading the youth and junior teams of Karpaty. Tlumak, with whom a two-year contract was signed, does not hide that this is a new challenge for him, so he gladly accepted the invitation from Lutsk. He will be assisted by Andriy Sapuga, Pavlo Kotovenko and Volodymyr Marchuk. They have a task to return "Volyn" to the elite division, and therefore can not do without strengthening the staff. Experienced midfielder Denis Kozhanov has already got a job in Lutsk, Volyn residents are also interested in two other famous masters - Taras Mykhalyk and Serhiy Siminin.

But the most drastic changes should be expected in Zirka, because not only the head coach Roman Monaryov and his assistants have already left the team, but also a whole group of leading players, including Oleksiy Chichikov, Ihor Zahalsky, Maksym Drachenko, and Maksym Kovalyov. According to reliable information, the new mentor of the team may be Andriy Horban, who previously headed the juniors of Zirka, and if this appointment takes place, he will most likely bet on young performers.

And finally - about the loser of last season, "Steel", which, leaving the class of the strongest, will represent in the first league not Kamyanske, but Bucha, in the Kiev region.
