DUFLU season results in U-14 category: Shakhtar's fifth gold over the last six seasons

The youth championship of Ukraine of the 2017/2018 season in the U-14 age category, held under the auspices of DUFLU, ended in Shchaslyvy near Kyiv.

In the final match on June 23, the students of the academies of the two best clubs of the country - Shakhtar and Dynamo - met. The Miners won under the guidance of coach Alexander Knyazev, Ivan Losenko scored the only goal from the penalty spot at the end of the first half.

Dynamo perceived the defeat with emotion. "Our team played well, we drove more opponents, but everything was decided by penalties," said midfielder Artem Slesar after the final whistle. - Our player put his hand on the Shakhtar player, and the referee whistled. We had a similar moment in the second half, when Igor Gorbach was kicked in the back. It was a clear penalty, but the referee showed a yellow card for the simulation, which was not even close. "

Pupils of coaches Gennady Shchekotylin and Serhiy Matyukhin from Odesa's Chornomorets won bronze medals, beating Karpaty 1-0 in the match for third place. The only goal was scored by the central midfielder Maxim Beshlyaga.
