The FFU team defeated the sports journalism team in a penalty shootout

On the initiative of the International Sports Press Association, the International Sports Journalist's Day has been celebrated on July 1995, 2. The fact is that on this day in 1924 the association was founded, which now unites more than 150 cranes, including Ukraine.

For several years now, the Football Federation of Ukraine and the Association of Sports Journalists of our country have been celebrating this holiday by holding a football match. This year, the FFU national team and the national sports journalism team met on July 4 at the NTC. Victor Bannikov.

In the previous match, the representatives of the sports media confidently defeated the officials - 7: 2. Therefore, the FFU approached the team very carefully. As a result, its composition was as follows: President of the Federation Andriy Pavelko, First Vice Presidents Vadym Kostyuchenko and Oleg Protasov, Vice President Andriy Matsola, President of DUFLU Vitaliy Bort, Chairman of the Kyiv Regional Football Federation Yaroslav Moskalenko, Serhiy Popov, Oleksandr Kistkin, Vitaliy Reva, Volodymyr Yezersky, Vasyl Kardash, Andriy Likarenko, Maryan Yaskiv, Andriy Vandzilyuk, Oleksiy Koshevarov, Mykola Oskoma.

This time the team of journalists consisted of the President of the Association of Sports Journalists of Ukraine Mykhailo Volobuev, the legend of domestic journalism Valentyn Shcherbachov, Ihor Tsyhanyk (Profutbol), Viktor Vatsko, Vyacheslav Shevchuk, Andriy Stolyarchuk, Maksym Gilenko (all on the Football channel), Serhiy Sytnyk, Roman Malchevsky (both - Footboom), Andriy Mayorov (FFU press service), Viktor Dolomansky ("2 + 2"), Dmytro Dubas, Oleg Tursky, Yevhen Polozenko (all - Media Holding of Sports Emotions), Andriy Butko ( "1 + 1"), Oleksandr Gaponenko (freelancer), Anton Svitlychny (Fakty ICTV site), Dmytro Stasiuk (X-Sport.ua), Roman Lopatin (IA "News Center"), Vitaliy Statsenko (ProsportUA), Dmytro Denkov, Andriy Shvaika (both Ukrainian Pravda), Bohdan Mashai (ZIK), Yaroslav Tvardovsky (Glavkom).

The game turned out tense and dynamic. The teams created a lot of dangerous moments at the opponents' goal, but were able to score only once during the game. In the first half, Andriy Likarenko scored a spectacular shot for the FFU team, and Roman Malchevsky equalized after the break. 1: 1.

After the final whistle, the team captains Andriy Pavelko and Ihor Tsyhanyk, with the permission of the match referees Andriy Honcharuk and Oleksandr Kaplenko, decided to find the strongest in the penalty shootout. But if the blows of the FFU representatives were accurate in all five attempts, the journalists did not realize one of their attempts: Viktor Vatsko scored past nine goals by Vitaliy Reva. The 11-meter series ended with the victory of the FFU team - 5: 4. It was she who received the transitional prize.
