Oleg Taran: "I want to return the winning traditions of Zaporizhzhya football"

Fighting teams of Zaporizhzhya and Dnipro have always aroused great interest among the fans. After draw of the second preliminary round drawing of the Cup of Ukraine it became known that the next confrontation of football players from these neighboring cities - to be!

We asked Oleg Taran, an experienced manager of IFC Metalurh, to share his thoughts on the August match against Dnipro-1:

- I was convinced that after the victory in Khmelnytsky at the start of the Metalurh Cup tournament we will have to clarify the relationship with the representative of the first league. The draw was on our side, and the fact that fate brought with "Dnipro-1" will only increase interest in the match. And it's not just the long history of football battles between the teams of these neighboring cities, "Dnipro-1" - a really interesting, original, ambitious team. That's why, I'm sure, passions on the field will rage…

A large group of newcomers played for Metalurh in the match against Podillya, but no coach will say that he is completely satisfied with the work done in the transfer market. Here we are in a relentless search, I really want to prove that there can be a strong team in Zaporozhye.
