The rivalry in the third strongest national football division began yesterday with a confrontation in Hornostaivka, where Mir hosted Nikopol.

Interestingly, on July 18, these teams clarified the relationship in the first previous round of the Cup of Ukraine, and then "Mir" won a landslide victory - 4: 1.

It seems that this success played a bad joke with the football players from the Kherson region. They clearly overestimated their strength. Although for the sake of fairness it should be said that the hosts had to open the score at the end of the first half, but the experienced Ivan Dotsenko did not realize the penalty - the goalkeeper of the "citizens" Bohdan Petrychenko was pleased with the excellent reaction. The denouement came in the 68th minute, when the visitors' midfielder Bohdan Shmyhelskyi accurately shot from the penalty spot into the very corner, and the goalkeeper of "Peace" Konstantin Gordetsky was powerless to help. 0: 1.

It will be recalled that, like last season, in the second league the rivalry is based on the territorial principle. It should be noted that this time there are no clear favorites in the tournament - such as were previously "Agribusiness" or "Dnipro-1". It seems that there will be no outspoken outsiders like Zaporizhzhya Metalurh, who managed to lose with a double-digit score. Today, this regional center is represented by the IFC under the leadership of the famous mentor Oleg Taran, who, according to the selection of performers, can safely encroach on a place on the pedestal.

Of particular concern is the performance of Cherkasy-Academy, which became the legal successor of Cherkasy Dnipro and for which mostly young performers have been declared, who have recently performed well in the 19-year-old Ukrainian championship. The location of the club is the united territorial community of Bilozir'ya. Such perturbations occurred in the football economy of this region. However, at the start, Cherkasy-Academy managed to withstand the away match against the ambitious Polissya, although it played in the minority in the last minutes.

In general, among the matches of the first round, the confrontation in Kryvyi Rih attracted the most attention, where "Girnyk", again represented in professional football, hosted "Tavria Simferopol". By the way, before the match, Girnyk presented a new official logo of the club. The main colors remained the same - black, red and green, but now the logo is decorated with symbols from the coat of arms of Kryvyi Rih - a Cossack powder keg and an oak shamrock. Perhaps this will help the Pitman to write new bright pages in the history of local football.

At least in the match with "Tavria Simferopol" Kryvyi Rih made a good impression. They were inspired by a quick goal scored by Roman Prutyan in the 7th minute. And in the middle of the first half Igor Buka forced the visiting goalkeeper to capitulate again. But the players of "Tavria Simferopol" were not going to give up, they added momentum, and before the break Vadym Voronchenko, realizing a penalty, reduced the gap to a minimum. 2: 1.

After the break, Serhiy Shevchenko's wards even more zealously started to make up for lost time and in the 58th minute they leveled the situation! Voronchenko distinguished himself again. Now the Pitmen's players have no choice but to mobilize and try to change the course of events on the field. And in three minutes the restless Buka also made a double. 3: 2. However, the last word was left for Voronchenko, who in the 82nd minute set the final score, scoring a hat-trick.

The fans who came to support Kalush in the match against Minai also saw a quick goal. We will remind that these teams successfully started in drawing of the Cup of Ukraine, having pleased with accuracy in a series of post-match penalties. Today, Kalush resident Vladyslav Tanchyn put his team ahead in the 3rd minute. And all attempts of Transcarpathians to win back were in vain. Vasyl Malik's wards defended themselves competently, not forgetting about counterattacks. Then "Kalush" started with a victory - 1: 0.

Footballers of Ternopil's "Niva", of course, really wanted to rehabilitate in front of their fans for the unfortunate cup defeat by fans from "Victoria". Their match with "teammates" from Vinnytsia took place on opposing courses, sharp moments often appeared at the gates of the guests, but at the end of the first half Ternopil Konstantin Pikul managed to outwit the goalkeeper of the hosts Artem Kulinich from the 11-meter mark. 0: 1. In the second half, Denis Kolchin's wards made a lot of efforts to escape defeat. And they succeeded in the 82nd minute thanks to a well-aimed shot by Mikhail Shestakov.

The Podillya footballers scored three important points for their assets in the same group, who still tipped the scales in their favor in the away match against Veres. Alisher Yakubov's accurate shot in the 55th minute decided everything. 0: 1.

In general, except for the confrontation in Kryvyi Rih, the participants were not pleased with the high performance. The exception is the Chaika footballers, who defeated the once formidable Bukovyna in Chernivtsi. By the way, this is the debut victory of the team from Petropavlivska Borshchahivka on a professional level.
