The last rival of the national team of Ukraine U-19 in the group tournament of the European Championship - the team of Turkey - has already lost all chances to rise from the last place.

Two defeats by England and France made the Turks helpless outsiders. But this is what can turn them into very dangerous opponents - before leaving Finland, even unsuccessfully want to bang on the door. This team should not be underestimated, despite its previous failures.

However, even the defeat of Ukraine in the last game can send the guys of Alexander Petrakov to the semifinals. There may be different options - depending on the outcome of the meeting of England and France. The worst plot for us is the third place and the game for the fifth pass for the 2019 U-20 World Cup with the third team of another group. There are many more chances for the semifinals, but you should not become dependent on others when you can solve everything on your own.

The most promoted football player of this Turkish national team is midfielder Abdulkadir Yomur from Trabzonspor. He has already scored four goals in the Turkish Super League and the National Cup (played 39 matches) and is estimated by experts at the portal Transfermarkt at 8 million euros. No wonder, because in October 2017, Yomur made his debut in the youth national team of the country and even called up to the national team.

Among Turkish players born in 1999-2000, there is only one who Transfermarkt considers worthy of a seven-figure sum in euros. This is the goalkeeper Berke Jozer, for whom Fenerbahce gave Samsunspor a real 2,5 million euros this summer (Transfermarkt believes that it costs a little more - 3 million). He was also called up to the youth and national teams of Turkey, but also did not play for them. Yozer was not called up to the U-19 team, so his absence, despite all his star status, is quite logical. Coach Vedata Insefe's goal is defended by others.

It is worth noting the absence of two central defenders - Recep Yemisi ("Altinord") and Mert Muldur (Viennese "Rapid"). Both played in the first stage of this selection, both are estimated on the market at 250 thousand euros. Footballers who applied for the European Championship are estimated at 50-300 thousand euros in the Transfermarkt rating.

Almost all of them made their debut at the adult level. Four - in the lower divisions. Experience of European and World Championships

It may seem strange, but Turkish players of this generation have almost no experience of playing in the final tournaments of European and world championships. The only exceptions are Burke Chetin and Umut Gunesh, who became bronze medalists of Euro-2017 (U-17). Then in Croatia, Turkish young men born in 2000 pleasantly surprised specialists.

In the first round of the group round, Turkey won 2-0 in Spain (the first goal was scored by Gunesh), but did not retain the advantage and still lost - 2: 3. Conclusions were drawn, and in the following games the Turks won two victories: Croatia - 4: 1, Italy - 2: 1. From second place in the group, the team reached the quarterfinals, where they beat Hungary (1: 0), but in the semifinals there was not enough strength for England (1: 2).

However, the bronze medals also became a pass to the 2017 World Cup (U-17). However, in India, the Turkish youth failed to show themselves - they took the last place in the group. There was a 1: 1 draw with New Zealand, followed by two defeats: Mali - 0: 3, Paraguay - 1: 3. The same Chetin and Gunesh, as well as Kutudju, the author of the goal against the New Zealanders, were included in the bid of the Turkish national team.

How did they qualify for Euro 2018 (U-19)

The Turks spent the first round of the European Championship at home and, having won two matches at the start (Kazakhstan - 3: 0, Wales - 2: 1), guaranteed their participation in the elite round. But the point could not be put - Slovakia snatched the victory 3: 2, losing 1: 2. Yalchin scored two goals at this stage, Engin, Sinik, Oktay and Yomur scored one goal each, and another own goal.

In the draw for the elite round, Turkey was at the bottom of the third basket, which made its chances of decent opponents very low. But Fortune smiled at Insefe's team. In Denmark, the Turks defeated Austria at the start (2: 0), and then drew with the hosts (1: 1). Everything was decided in the last round in a correspondence dispute between Turkey and Denmark. The Scandinavians lost to Austria (2: 2), and the Turks won in Bosnia - 2: 1.

Midfielder Oktay became the hero of the elite round - he scored four out of five goals. Another is the work of forward Yalchin.

How they started at the European Championship

It was Yalchyn who scored the first goal in the final tournament. Already in the 2nd minute of the match with England, he led his team forward. But after that the British scored three times and allowed the opponent to score only one goal. Its author - striker Guchlu - earned a withdrawal at the end of the match. And the game ended - 2: 3.
