The BEST FIFA Football Awards: Shevchenko and Pyatov favor Modric
The head coach of the national team of Ukraine Andriy Shevchenko and the captain of the blue and yellow Andriy Pyatov voted for the best players and coaches of 2018 in the annual poll "The BEST FIFA Football Awards".
The coach and the captain showed unanimity about the best player: in their opinion, the captain of the Croatian national team Luka Modric deserves the main prize. At the same time, the second place in the ranking is given to the Portuguese goal scorer Cristiano Ronaldo.
As for the coach of the year, the votes were divided. Shevchenko appointed the first winner of the World Cup, the coach of the French national team Didier Deschamps. Pyatov took only the third position for Deschamps, preferring another Frenchman - Zinedine Zidane, with whom Real Madrid won the Champions Cup for the third time in a row. The goalkeeper left the second place in the coaching rating behind the German Jurgen Klopp, while the coach of the national team of Ukraine closed the top three with the Spaniard Josep Guardiola.
The BEST FIFA Football Awards will take place on September 24 in London.
