August 11 at the STC. V. Bannikov under the auspices of the Football Federation of Ukraine held an open celebration of the Builder's Day 2018.

The holiday, which is traditionally celebrated in Ukraine on the second weekend of August, took place in a very interesting format. During the official part, the best representatives of the country's construction industry were awarded, a concert program, family entertainment, barbecues and football workshops were organized for the guests. But the main event of the holiday was a friendly match between the national team of Ukraine among the builders and the national team of Ukraine among the ATO soldiers.

Before the game, the participants of the match and all builders were congratulated on their professional holiday by FFU First Vice Presidents Oleh Protasov and Vadym Kostyuchenko, Deputy Minister of Youth and Sports of Ukraine Mykola Danevych, Head of the Department of Physical Culture and Sports of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine Yuriy Finogenov, Executive Director of the Confederation of Builders of Ukraine Vitaliy Grusevych and Deputy Minister of Regional Development, Construction and Housing Lev Partskhaladze, who brought to the field a team of builders with a captain's armband.  

The spectators really enjoyed football. Each of the rivals had its strengths. At first, the builders dominated, but later the military leveled the game, and in the end the final whistle recorded a draw - 2: 2. Therefore, the teams had to break through a series of penalties, in which Fortuna smiled at the builders - 6: 5.

"On my own behalf and on behalf of the football federation, I congratulate all the builders on their professional holiday," Oleg Protasov addressed the participants of the match. - Football is a sport that brings not only pleasure but also health. So I want to wish the representatives of all professions to celebrate professional holidays in this way. Our joint work with construction companies and companies on projects for the construction of football fields is going in the right direction, so we want to wish the same interaction in the future, because we still have a lot of work ahead. Also a big bow to our ATO soldiers who agreed to take part in the holiday and showed quality football on the field. "

According to Mykola Danevych, the Day of the Builder in Ukraine should be celebrated in such a sports and football format in the future: “The number of spectators in the stands today only confirmed that the holiday was a success. Many fans supported both the team of builders and the team of anti-terrorist operation soldiers. The main thing is that we have a sports atmosphere, and you can celebrate the holiday in this format next year, making it traditional. "

In turn, Lev Partskhaladze, who became one of the heroes of the match, realizing a post-match penalty in the goal of the ATO team, said: "Great day! Thanks to the football federation for helping to organize such a match. It is symbolic that on this holiday we held a friendly match against the team of anti-terrorist operation veterans. Together we build, together we defend our Ukraine. As for the cooperation between the Ministry of Regional Development and the Football Federation in the construction of football fields, thanks to these projects throughout Ukraine we were able to breathe football life into small towns and villages, where previously football was virtually ignored. Our joint work is fruitful, the number of football fields and stadiums will only increase, and in 5-10 years we will see new stars in the national teams of Ukraine, which will bring glory to the country at European and world championships. "

After the final whistle, the participants of the match and guests of the holiday were greeted by musical greetings from the National Academic Brass Band of Ukraine, the groups "Kitutik" and "White Tower", who conducted a sound check and staged an unforgettable show. Footballers were not left without presents either, and the best players of the match in their role received memorable awards from the Football Federation of Ukraine.
