Volodymyr Yezersky: “We are trying to prepare the team for the European Championship qualification”

Head coach of the youth team of Ukraine (football players not olderі 2002 birth) Vladimir Yezersky thinks the match against the Georgians was worthy of the final.

After win over Georgia (3: 1) Ukraine's national team (U-17) won first place in its quartet at the Victor Bannikov Memorial and now competes with peers from Turkey in the match for the grand prize.

— Vladimir Ivanovich, your team did not notice on its way and a third opponent?

- Now it is not the main thing. We are trying to prepare the team for the qualification of the European Championship, and we consider this tournament as one of the stages of preparation.

As for the match against the Georgia national team, we stood up to the strongest opponent of our quartet. I think this game is equivalent to the finale. Don't be afraid of the word, both teams showed adult football, and the fans who came to the game did not regret it.

The only downside is that some of our players have been injured again. But despite this, everyone is rushing to battle, for which they thank you very much.

In the decisive match of the tournament we will try to play decent against a strong opponent.

— How do you describe Command Turkey?

- We will get acquainted with it only now. But in general I can say that the teams of this country are trying to demonstrate fast and combination football. 

— Are you satisfied with your work today?

"Of course." It was important to get together, and fights of this level are expensive for my wards. This international experience, which they lack in the Ukrainian championship, will help in preparing for the Euro qualifiers. And most importantly, the guys have a desire to progress.
