Andrey Shevchenko has invited eight legionnaires to the national team gathering. Two more are in reserve

Head coach of the national team of Ukraine Andriy Shevchenko has summoned eight players, who play in foreign championships, to the nearest assembly of the main team. Two more legionnaires were on the reserve list of the national team.

In the eight called - Andriy Lunin (Real, Spain), Yevhen Konoplyanka (Schalke, Germany), Andriy Yarmolenko (West Ham, England), Oleksandr Zinchenko (Manchester City, England), Ruslan Malinovsky ( Genk ”, Belgium), Roman Yaremchuk (Ghent, Belgium), Yevhen Khacheridi (PAOK, Greece) and Yevhen Makarenko (Anderlecht, Belgium).

The reserve list includes striker Yevhen Seleznyov (Akhisar Belediyespor, Turkey) and defender Vasyl Kravets (Lugo, Spain). It will be recalled that performers from the "reserve" can get to the main list of the national team in case of injury to any of the players of the "base" or in the case of demonstrators of exceptional playing qualities in matches that will precede the training camp.

New and old surnames attract attention. Note the invitation of experienced defender Eugene Khacheridi, which is interesting because for the first time in his career the player was called up to the national team of a foreign club, the colors of which he now defends - the Greek PAOK. At the moment, Khacheridi has 51 games for the main team and three goals scored. A young and talented goalkeeper Andriy Lunin will also arrive in Kyiv in a new capacity: for the first time, an invitation from the Ukrainian national team has been sent to the office of the famous Real Madrid, the current winner of the UEFA Champions League.

But who the fans haven't seen in Ukraine for a long time is the former Dynamo Kyiv player, and now the Belgian Anderlecht station wagon player Yevhen Makarenko. By the way, Eugene played three matches for the national team in 2014. All games were friendly and all blue and yellow wins: over the United States (2: 0), Niger (2: 1) and Moldova (1: 0). 

It is interesting to learn about the reservist - 21-year-old pupil of Lviv "Carpathians", and now the defender of Spanish "Lugo" Vasily Kravets, for whom the invitation to the national team may be his debut. Earlier, Vasyl played 22 matches for the U-17 youth team, and since last year he has been receiving calls to the youth team of Ukraine.

We remind you that according to FIFA regulations, invitations to football players from foreign championships to the national team were sent in advance. The full list of players summoned will be announced later.
