Vadim Kostyuchenko: “We are expanding the network of volunteers of mass football significantly”

During the last week, the Football Federation of Ukraine together with the Charitable Foundation "Development of Football of Ukraine" held a seminar in Chernomorsk for volunteers of mass football from the regions.

FFU First Vice-President Vadym Kostyuchenko noted: “This year we are significantly expanding the network of mass football volunteers. An important step to achieve this goal is to hold this seminar. "

Participants seconded by the regional football federations, in turn, organize and similarly instruct teams of volunteers in their communities.

The program of the seminar included all organizational and methodological issues for holding five-day festivals "Open football lessons" in September-October this year on the principle of "football for all" with an emphasis on psychological and social assistance to displaced children through football.

Participants were trained to create a volunteer network at the regional level and activate local communities to help integrate IDPs, including through football, involving IDP children and other social groups in the project, organizing regular sports events, implementing the educational approach "sport + school + police "in school activities for children and their parents in order to protect children, prevent juvenile delinquency and conflict.

In addition, they discussed the issues of encouraging the increase in the number of children (in particular, displaced children) involved in football, as well as of girls, the maximum involvement in engaging with children and volunteering of parents (including displaced parents), the promotion of adult participation in grassroots amateur football. .

In addition to the organizers of the seminar from FFU, who conducted training, as instructors involved leading experts in this field - teachers and coaches Sergei Chesheyko, Liana Kopylova, Viktor Tvardovsky, Tatiana Dzhuman, as well as experts in cooperation with the National Police for Child Crime and Conflict Prevention, Oleksiy Lazarenko, a school for young fans, and Yuriy Lutsenko, a psychologist and one of the best specialists in the field of psychological assistance to displaced children who were in the war zone.

All participants also had the opportunity to share their experience in the development of grassroots football and the implementation of the project "Open Football Lessons", received valuable materials for work and pass the experience to the districts, cities and villages of their regions.
