The first evening in Lviv of the national team of Ukraine: fitness, training, singing and interviews for UEFA

Work in the city of Leo began with the restoration of players who had a rich game in the Czech Republic, and at the same time bringing to a common functional denominator performers who received little playing time in the said game or were not involved in it.

Recovery for some and load for others

Thus, the 11 players in the starting line-up performed exercises designed to increase blood circulation by saturating the soft tissues with oxygen, which in turn promotes muscle recovery. As always, fitness trainer Ivan Bashtov was responsible for fitness classes.

The rest of the players spent a full training session on the field of the Lviv stadium "Ukraine". Under the guidance of the coaching staff, the teams performed tactical exercises and conducted a series of games. The rainy weather typical of Lviv did not escape the attention of the blue-and-yellows: the final part of the training was accompanied by precipitation. In the end, it did not cause any problems: the condition of the field in "Ukraine" is excellent, and the players of the national team are quite ready for such manifestations of bad weather. By the way, on the day of the game weather forecasters do not promise precipitation.

Debutant songs

At the end of Friday's work schedule, the national team had a theoretical lesson, after which the head coach found five minutes to follow one pleasant tradition: five newcomers to the main team sang songs in front of the team, standing on chairs.

The guys split into two music groups: the trio was composed by Yevgeny Makarenko, Oleg Danchenko and Vasyl Kravets, and the duet was performed by Roman Yaremchuk with Andriy Tsurikov. The boys chose the songs themselves, tried to perform them artistically, so they received applause from their partners and were not thrown with napkins.

Interview for UEFA

After the mini-concert, the players went for a massage or rest, and the coach had another thing to do. Andriy Shevchenko gave an interview to the UEFA film crew, which is preparing a story about the national team of Ukraine for a TV magazine about a new tournament - the UEFA League of Nations.
