Volodymyr Yezersky: “There are decent players among the closest reserve of the national team”

The head coach of the Ukrainian U-17 national team praised the confident victory of his team in a friendly match.

Yesterday the youth national team of Ukraine in sparring defeated peers from Azerbaijan with a score of 7: 0. After the match, the coach of the blue and yellow Volodymyr Yezersky shared his impressions of the players' game:

- First of all, I want to thank the guys for their attitude. We are preparing for the official games, working out the moments we did during the year. I thank them very much for enduring everything. Players meet together once every one or two months. The most important thing is that they feel for each other.

I would like the opponent to be more interesting, but any sparring for us is an experience. Therefore, we are already looking to the future, remembering the match with Azerbaijan on Thursday.

- Did Azerbaijanis surprise you today?

- In the first half they looked more organized than in the second. We just added and scored all our goals. I think our guys enjoyed the game.

— Will there be any dramatic changes in the starting lineup for the next friendly?

- Some guys will have a chance to prove something. I have already said that the doors of the national team are open to everyone. We have a lot of new players. For various reasons, we did not collect all the best, but we looked at the nearest reserve. There are worthy footballers. In any case, I think Thursday will be a completely different game. The national team of Azerbaijan will draw conclusions.
