In September, the national team of Ukraine started its performance in a new tournament - the League of Nations, winning two victories - over the Czech Republic and Slovakia. The youth team also won twice, and the women's futsal team successfully held the qualifying round of the European Championship.

September 1. On the territory of the training complex named after Victor Bannikov started working Children's Football Academy of the Football Federation of Ukraine.

September 7. The youth national team of Ukraine, having a total advantage over the guests from Latvia in the qualifying match for Euro 2019 (U-21), managed to lose the advantage in the score of two goals, and then still pressed the opponent - 3: 2.

September 9. The national team of Ukraine in beach soccer has fulfilled the minimum task for the Superleague of the Euroleague 2018 in Italy. In the match for seventh place blue and yellow won over team of Azerbaijan and won the last pass for the European Games-2019.

In the fall alone, 4000 children and 500 volunteers will be involved in the project. ”

The tournament, held on the initiative of the Football Federation of Ukraine, was attended by 16 teams from Kharkiv, Zaporizhia, Dnipropetrovsk and Sumy regions - a total of almost 200 children aged 9-10 years. The final of the competition took place at the reconstructed Avangard Stadium in Dergachi, not far from Kharkiv.

President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko, President of the Football Federation of Ukraine Andriy Pavelko, Representative of the President of Ukraine in the Verkhovna Rada Iryna Lutsenko, Head of Kharkiv Regional State Administration Yulia Svitlychna and Head of the Presidential Administration of Ukraine Igor Rainin attended the final match and award ceremony.

The guests of honor presented the winners and participants of the competition with prizes and gifts: brand new balls, the uniform of the national team of Ukraine with the inscription "Glory to Ukraine!", In which our national team plays, backpacks with equipment for football, commemorative medals, cups and invitations. children's sector for the match of the League of Nations Ukraine-Czech Republic, which will take place on October 16 at the stadium "Metalist". The prize-winning teams will also receive vouchers to France, Croatia and Egypt.

"Despite all the troubles and difficulties, the central government, local governments and the sports community continue to work systematically to restore and build sports infrastructure throughout Ukraine. Conditions are being created for involving more and more children in sports in general and football in particular. This means that in the near future new football stars and new Olympic champions will appear in Ukraine, who will glorify our country all over the world, ”Andriy Pavelko emphasized.
