UEFA Regions Cup. Vitaliy Ponomarev: “Lviv national team aims to reach the final part of the competition”
On October 2, the representative of Ukraine begins his appearance in the UEFA Cup Cup, where his rivals in Group 6 are teams from Spain, Azerbaijan and Finland.
The winner of each of the eight groups will receive a ticket to the final stage. Let us remind you that the football honor of our country will be protected by the national team of Lviv region, who won the FFU Region Cup.
- The fact that the group tournament from October 2 to 8 will take place on the fields of Lviv region, testifies to the seriousness of the intentions of the hosts, - said the head coach of our team Vitaly Ponomarev. - We aim to reach the final part of the competition, which will take place in June 2019. Among my wards are 16 players who won the FFU Regions Cup. After the preparatory training camp, two more newcomers joined them. They proved themselves well in the sparring with "Youth" (Geiche), which ended in our victory - 4: 2. The backbone of the national team consists of football players from the club "Mykolayiv" - the champion of Lviv region.
By the way, I have videos of matches with the participation of our future rivals. These are really combat teams with original handwriting, and it will be interesting to argue with them for the win. We also look forward to the support of the fans.
