The winners of the Leather Ball from Volyn went to Poland
The team of Volodymyr-Volyn specialized boarding school, which this year won the title of bronze medalist of the All-Ukrainian children's tournament "Leather Ball", will represent Ukraine in the international friendly match among boys U-14 (born in 2005).
The Ukrainians try to match their peers from Poland. The match will be held within the framework of the Polish program of development of young talents at the invitation of the Polish Football Union.
The game will take place on October 6 in the picturesque Podkarpackie Voivodeship, in a modern football center. The day before, the teams will play the first introductory match. The program of the event envisages the stay of Ukrainians in Poland from October 3-7.
As the first vice-president of FFU Vadym Kostyuchenko noted, for our nominees of the All-Ukrainian tournament "Leather Ball" this is a great opportunity to improve the level of skill.
"The guys who won awards in the most massive tournament in Ukraine should worthily represent our country on a business trip abroad.
This visit, initiated by the Polish side and supported by the FFU, is a great opportunity to learn the European experience and to put it into practice in the FFU.
Also, the boys, who were honored to represent Ukraine in the implementation of the first steps of this project, will discover new football horizons. They need to become more motivated and accountable to their team, their city, region and country.
The Football Federation of Ukraine will continue to support and encourage such projects and promote the development of grassroots football in order to further systemic development and create conditions for self-realization of our football youth, "said Vadym Kostyuchenko.
