International Networking Camp for Young Leaders of the Open Soccer Lessons Project Launched in Kharkiv

On October 5, an international network camp for young leaders of the Open Football Lessons project started at the Metalist training base in Kharkiv.

The project is implemented within the framework of the European Union's support of civil society, local authorities and human rights in Ukraine, and its main focus — on the integration of displaced children into local communities through mass football.

The first such camp was also held in Kharkiv in August and was highly praised by international partners, who suggested holding a second such event as an international one.

For three days, the camp will train young men and women from nine regions of Ukraine where the project is being implemented, and this time they will be joined by leaders from Georgia, Armenia, Azerbaijan and Moldova - a total of about a hundred young people. They will become volunteers of the project "Open football lessons" and in the spring will organize mass football festivals for children.

In addition to the specialists of the Football Federation of Ukraine and the regional federations of football, classes for young people are conducted by the best world experts in this field from Germany, in particular George Springborg of the world-famous organization Street Football World. By the way, one of the activities of the camp will be a meeting of participants with representatives of the German Embassy in Ukraine.
