Alexander Golovko: "In a year, both the Scots and we have changed a lot"

Head coach of U-21 Ukraine national team Oleksandr Golovko spoke about the situation in the team before the matches of Euro-2019 selection against Scotland and Holland.

— Youth team of Ukraine keeps chances of getting into Euro 2019. What are the goals of the next team?

- The goals are very simple. We have to win the next match, and depending on this match we will prepare for the next one.

— Did you manage to find the best composition? Are you injured?

- First we have to list them all. After the round of the Ukrainian championship, there seemed to be no complaints. But, as it usually happens, there are options for one or two players. I can already say that there will be problems with one of the attackers.

— What are the upcoming plans for the national team? When are you going to Holland?

- We are going today, training classes last for three days. October 12 at 19.00 - a game with the Scottish national team. Then - a day to recover, and on the 14th we fly to Holland, where we are preparing for the match, which will take place on October 16.

— What can you say about the Scottish team? According to statistics, the national team of Ukraine has never lost to her…

- We will try to support these statistics. Nothing new can be said about the spirit and character of the Scots. There are people to pay attention to - both in the attacking group and in the midfield. Closer to the match, we will consider the opponent in more detail, we will determine which problem areas we may have depending on the offensive actions of the opponent. Scotland is the team we played with, but that was a long time ago, almost a year ago. During this time, both they and we have changed a lot, so the next match will be a separate story.

— Is it possible that someone from the national team will join the "youth"?

- We are considering options, but I will not name names. I think two players is the maximum.
