UEFA Regions Cup: Lviv national team could not get a pass to the final stage

UEFA Group of Regions Cup group tournament in Lviv. Unfortunately, the Lviv national team, which represented Ukraine, failed to win a single ticket to the final part of the competition.

In the final match with the Spanish "Castile and Leon" the hosts were satisfied with a draw due to the better ratio of goals scored and conceded. But in the middle of the second half, the Pyrenees forced the Ukrainian goalkeeper Marian Burmas to capitulate, and this goal turned out to be decisive. In fairness, it should be said that even before the missed ball, our compatriots remained in the minority - Nazar Boyko was removed from the field…

- Unfortunately, unlike the opponent, we did not use our scoring moments, - said the leader of the national team of Lviv region Vitaliy Ponomarev. - In particular, Nazar Tsyupka made a mistake at close range. To some extent, we were derailed by the removal of Nazar Boyko, although, in my opinion, he did not deserve a second yellow card. The experience of the Spanish team, which is participating in the UEFA Regions Cup for the third time, has also been highlighted. For us it was a debut on the international arena, the guys tried to show everything they can, and there can be no question of any claims against them.
