The sixth day of the national team gathering in Ukraine was a busy one - two training sessions were held

Preparation of the national team of Ukraine for the duel with the Czech Republic in the League of Nations, which will take place in Kharkiv on October 16, continues.

Work on structure

The coaching staff of the national team continues to improve the structure of the team game. The morning lesson was devoted to practicing tactical actions on the field. A pleasant circumstance - Andriy Yarmolenko and Yevhen Makarenko, who had been working individually in the previous days, returned to the general group. Warm sunny weather added mood to everyday work. At the end of training, the guys loved to play tennis.

Return of Lunin

As soon as the national team returned from training, it was joined again by goalkeeper Andriy Lunin, who played for the youth team in the match against Scotland yesterday. Andriy was satisfied with the positive result of the meeting and the game practice, which he had not had for a long time.

The struggle for a place in the warehouse

Together with his teammates, Lunin held an evening training session, which, like the morning one, took place at the Sunny Stadium near the Superior Golf & Spa Resort Hotel. Unlike the first one, this lesson was aimed at practical training of actions on the field during technical and game series. The players worked with inspiration and perseverance, as the main squad for the game with the Czech Republic will be determined based on the results of the upcoming trainings.

Singing newcomers

In the evening, the team had dinner and a non-standard part of the agenda - the performance of songs by newcomers to the national team of Ukraine. This is the status of two football players at this meeting - Igor Plastun and Vladislav Kulach.

The players decided to sing in a duet, performing the Ukrainian folk song "You deceived me." Igor and Vlad, as required by the team, sang loudly and clearly, so they deserved a standing ovation. Although throwing white handkerchiefs still did not work - so the partners keep the debutants in shape.

A rookie in the coaching staff also sang his song for the players. Alexander Shovkovsky chose the famous "Team of our youth". The assistant head coach deserved high marks for his performance. Particularly symbolic were the words "Ambitious doublers will come, God forbid they play better than ours", which Shovkovsky paraphrased in "You better play ours", as if passing a kind of baton from the team in which he and Shevchenko played.

The musical evening ended with an encore performance by Oleksandr Zinchenko, who, as always, performed the composition artistically - this time it was Michael Jackson's Billie Jean. Then, in a high spirits, the footballers went for a massage or rest.

Visit to the military hospital

Tomorrow, in addition to training, the national team is scheduled to visit the Kharkiv Military Hospital, where about 100 anti-terrorist operation soldiers are currently being treated, 20 of them with combat wounds. By visiting the fighters who are defending our country, the national team of Ukraine wants to express its gratitude and honor, congratulating in their person all the Ukrainian military on the Day of the Defender of Ukraine.
