The visit of the national team of Ukraine among veterans to Volyn was combined with the celebration of the Day of the Defender of Ukraine and the Intercession of the Blessed Virgin. And also - the opening in the city of Gorokhiv after the reconstruction of the football stadium. Probably, the most successful combination of all events gathered thousands of spectators in the stands, and an interesting entertainment program began in the morning.

Celebrities of our football, touring in support of the Ukrainian army in the environmental protection zone, visited Volyn for the first time this year. The reporting visit, like all previous ones, was supported by the Football Federation of Ukraine, the Football Veterans Association of Ukraine and Agribusiness LLC. Coaches Anatoliy Demyanenko and Volodymyr Lozynskyi picked up a well-known team, which the fans greeted with lively applause: Vladyslav Vashchuk, Oleg Sobutsky, Yuriy Maksymov, Eduard Tsikhmeistruk, Sviatoslav Syrota, Bohdan Shershun, Serhiy Shyshchenko, Viktor Ulyanychenko Andriy Oksymets, Oleksandr Venglynsky, Vitaliy Samoilov, Vyacheslav Svidersky and Volodymyr Bondarenko.

The match between the veterans' team and the best players of the Gorokhiv region was preceded by a football festival, which brought together dozens of teams. "Today is a truly significant day for our district. We managed to gather the whole football community in one place, to sum up the results of the year, - said the chairman of the Gorokhiv district council Taras Shcherblyuk. - We love football, there are a total of 32 teams that participate in tournaments of various levels, the main team plays in the regional championship. Reconstruction of the Kolos Stadium in Gorokhiv is long overdue, the district authorities have headed this project, allocated funding, but without the help of businesses and ordinary fans, it is unlikely that everything would have happened in such a short time. From now on we have a good arena for competitions, to which we have gladly invited a team of outstanding domestic football players. "
