What was UEFA Mass Soccer Week in the regions of Ukraine

At the end of September, events took place in Kyiv and all regions of Ukraine as part of a traditional sports project - UEFA Mass Football Week.

These are various tournaments, competitions, contests and individual matches dedicated to outstanding representatives of the regions. In total, such actions covered tens of thousands of boys and girls, adult football players, as well as football veterans.

Volyn region

A number of sporting events took place in the region during UEFA Mass Football Week. In particular, competitions among youth teams and veteran teams at the renovated stadium in the village of Knyagynynok, Lutsk district. Teams of football veterans from Lutsk, Kovel, Novovolynsk, Volodymyr-Volynskyi, Kivertsi played the next stage of the regional championship within the framework of UEFA Mass Football Week.

For many participants of the tournament among children's teams born in 2009 and younger, such competitions became a football debut. The team from the village of Knyagynynok started the tournament unsuccessfully, but in the duel for the fifth place won the first victory in history. The match for the third place of the tournament for the prizes of the mass football festival under the auspices of the Union of European Football Associations was won by young masters of leather ball from the "Time" team of the village of Lubliniec, Kovel district. Team player Stanislav Kiperchuk received the prize for the best defender of the tournament.

Teams from the regional center met in the decisive match. Players of CYSS № 2 from Lutsk missed the first goal in the last minute of the first half. Later, their peers from the Volyn team dominated. Daniil Kotsan became the best scorer of the competition.  

The organizers, representatives of the Volyn Football Federation, presented the winners with medals and cups, as well as awards to the best players.  

Zhytomyr region

The event called "UEFA in the hearts of children" took place at the stadium of the Peasant Sports Lyceum named after the heroes of the ATO Alexander Golyachenko and Dmitry Litvinchuk. The head of the regional football federation Ruslan Pavliuk and the head of the Zhytomyr sports association "Kolos" Oleksandr Stashenko visited the holiday. Ruslan Pavliuk noted that he is well acquainted with peasant footballers, as they take an active part in all competitions initiated by the regional federation. The head of the federation presented balls to the students of Selyanshchyna sports school and children from large families who play football.

After the solemn part, the competition began. Boys and girls had to score a goal in different sizes. Almost all lyceum students expressed a desire to be participants, especially the youngest ones - first-graders. Seventh-grader Andriy Mykhaylenko and second-grader Khrystyna Shtulinsk won this competition. And in the competition for juggling the ball, the victory was won by the student of the 11th grade Ilona Chorna and the student of the ninth grade Denis Protasevych, who scored the ball 190 times!

In Olevsk, 16 teams of different age groups from Olevsk OTG and Olevsk district took part in the UEFA Mass Football Week. The winners and prize-winners of the tournament received footballs and sweet gifts from the head of Olevsk MO VFST "Kolos" Volodymyr Rabosh.

A football holiday took place in Brusyliv - a tournament among girls. The teams of Brusylivska Gymnasium, Brusylivska Secondary School 1, Lazarivka, Vodotia, Khomutets and Morozivka competed for the main awards. The victory was celebrated by the team from Lazarivka. Also, events within the framework of "UEFA Mass Football Week" (competitions and contests) took place in Khoroshiv, where participants honored the memory of seven fighters killed in the anti-terrorist operation, who come from Khoroshiv district, Andrushivka and Pulyny.

Transcarpathian region

As part of the UEFA Mass Football Week, the Transcarpathian Football Federation held mass events in the regional center and in all districts of the region with the participation of a wide range of the population, members of children's and youth, amateur and veteran teams. In particular, with the beginning of the championship of the Children's and Youth Football League of Transcarpathia, which is attended by more than 80 teams from all districts, mass events were held to promote football among boys and girls. Also, as part of UEFA Mass Football Week, a meeting of the heads of district and city federations of the region was held, at which it was decided to hold a competition "League of Champions of Transcarpathia" with the participation of the best teams of district championships.

Zaporozhye region

As part of UEFA Mass Football Week, the Zaporizhzhya Regional Football Federation together with the Zaporizhzhya City Football Federation held a family sports holiday "Dad, Mom, Me" in the regional center, which included various contests, football relays and competitions. Also on the basis of SDYUSHOR "Metallurgist" in Zaporozhye the tournament among pupils of school of 2006-2007 and 2008-2009 years of birth took place. In addition, in the village of Rozdol there were competitions for the championship of Mykhailiv district among schoolchildren, and in the village of Mykhailivka - a tournament among veterans dedicated to the memory of Alexander Shulga.

Ivano-Frankivsk region

More than 1540 children's, girls ', veterans' and amateur teams took part in the events organized as part of UEFA Mass Football Week in Prykarpattia. The main football festival "Everyone is playing" took place at the stadium with artificial turf "Hat-Trick Arena" in Ivano-Frankivsk with the participation of boys aged U-11-U-18, girls WU-15-WU-17, adults U-19- U-35, veterans of U-35 +, participants of anti-terrorist operation. 64 teams took part in the competition - 512 participants. Football matches of the 15th Regional Spartakiad among teams of civil servants and executive bodies took place at the football stadiums of Ivano-Frankivsk. Football competitions, matches of children's teams and matches of the final part of the championship of Ivano-Frankivsk region among veterans (born in 1978 and older) of the 2018 season were held. The winner was the team of Ivano-Frankivsk, the second and third winners - the teams of veterans of Kalush and Dolyna district.

Within the framework of UEFA Mass Football Week, matches of the regular rounds of the championships of the Children's and Youth Football League of the Ivano-Frankivsk region of the 2018/2019 season of the U-11, U-12, U-14, U-16, U-18 age categories took place; matches of the Children's and Youth Football League of Ukraine of the 2018/2019 season in the age categories U-14, U-15, U-16, U-17, U-19; matches of the regular rounds of the championship and championship of Ivano-Frankivsk region of the 2018/2019 season (adult teams); matches of the regular rounds of the championship and the championship of cities and districts of Ivano-Frankivsk region among youth and adult teams of the 2018/2019 season; matches of the group stage of the Cup of Champions of cities and districts of Ivano-Frankivsk region of the 2018/2019 season; matches of the championship of Ukraine among amateur teams of the 2018/2019 season "Pokuttya" (Kolomyia) - "Agron" (V. Gai) and "Karpaty" (Halych) - "Pokuttya" (Kolomyia); calendar match of the football championship of Ukraine among the participants of the anti-terrorist operation.

On September 11-15, 14-year-old girls competed in the finals of the 18-team Ukrainian Football Championship in Kalush. The Open Football Lessons Champions Festival, launched by the Football Federation of Ukraine together with the Football Development of Ukraine Charitable Foundation, took place on September 23-27 in Sniatyn. About 200 children from schools of Sniatyn region took part in the festival.

Kirovohrad region

In the Kirovohrad region, as part of UEFA Mass Football Week, the leadership of the regional football federation organized a social project "Open Football Lessons" in the town of Novgorod. Also in the region there were football competitions for the prizes of the club "Leather Ball", the second stage of the championship of cities, OTG and districts, the final tournament of the regional football championship among amateur teams "Higher League", the final tournament of the regional football championship among amateur teams. First League ”, calendar games of the Children's and Youth Football League regional championship (2003, 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007 years of birth) and calendar games of district, OTG and city championships.

Poltava

UEFA Mass Football Week presented Poltava region with a number of interesting football events. In particular, a mini-football tournament among schoolchildren and football veterans and an open mini-football tournament among football veterans took place on the artificial surface of Petrykivska-Romenska OTG in the Hadiach district.

In Dykanskyi district there were zonal competitions in mini-football among pedagogical staff of secondary schools (with the participation of CYSS team and 11 adult teams) and a mini-football tournament among CYSS teams (four teams), in Zinkivskyi district - matches of Poltava region championship 2018 among the DUFL teams born in 2007-2008, in Kobeliatsky district - a tournament among children born in 2009 and their parents, as well as a tournament among girls born in 2004-2005.

A friendly meeting between students and coaches of Kozelshchyna CYSS, an interschool mini-football tournament among girls and a mini-football tournament dedicated to the 300th anniversary of the village of Kozelshchyna took place in Kozelshchyna district of the region.

Myrhorod district hosted the Myrhorod City Cup among veterans, the regional sports contest among veterans of physical culture and sports "Sports for all is the joy of life", and students of educational institutions of the district had the opportunity to attend the 2018 Poltava region championship match between Olimpia (Savyntsi) and Rokita (Rokita).

64 football players took part in the tournament among students of CYSS of Orzhytsya district born in 2007-2008.

"Open football lessons" at the secondary school, which involved football veterans and players of the district, and district competitions among children's national teams took place in Poltava district.

Football and mini-football tournaments among schoolchildren, open district football competitions among veteran teams took place in Semenivka district of the region.

In Khorol district, a match between school teams took place at Zorya Stadium, and in Kremenchug - a district mini-football championship (12 teams), a mini-football tournament among young men born in 2004-2005 (five teams) and a tournament with mini-football among veterans, dedicated to the memory of S. Zagariy.

10 children's teams and eight teams of organizations of the district took part in the open championship of Chernukhinsky district.

A friendly meeting of football veterans of the district with schoolchildren of general secondary education institutions (support institution "Chutivska Secondary School of I-III grades") took place in Chutivskyi district, and a football tournament among 40+ veterans took place in Lokhvytskyi district.

Rivne region

In the last week of September, participants of the festival of champions from Varash, Volodymyrets, Zarichne, Rokytne districts and the city of Dubrovytsia arrived at the People's Stadium of Dubrovytsia Lyceum-School. The football field of the cozy stadium was divided into squares, in which the participants of the festival had the opportunity to compete in various competitions with elements of football, to learn new exercises. The organizers of the event decided to divide the children into different groups, not following the territorial principle, ie in each group there were young football players from different areas, which allowed the children to get to know each other. In addition to purely football stations, the participants of the "Open Lessons" also talked to police officers and a psychologist, who conducted interesting conversations and games with children in the relevant squares.

So football has once again proved that it is one of the social phenomena that bring children and teenagers together and distract them from the harmful effects of the street and excessive exposure to the "computer world". At the end of the festival, the equipment provided by FFU was distributed among the participants of the event.

It will be recalled that the main goal of the Open Football Lessons is the integration of IDPs from Donbass and Crimea into local host communities, as well as psychological assistance to children of servicemen. In addition, such activities help children find new friends and learn active communication among peers. In the autumn alone, 4000 children and 500 volunteers were involved in the project in different regions of Ukraine.

Sumy region

As part of the UEFA Mass Football Week, matches of the regional championship among veterans, the regional championship among girls and the regional championship among amateurs took place in Sumy region. In addition, the region hosted a festival of children's and youth football among rural teams, as well as the championship of the Children's and Youth Football League of Sumy region.

Cherkasy region

In the Cherkasy region, as part of the UEFA Mass Football Week, competitions among amateur teams, tournaments among children and youth took place in Drabov, Zhashkiv, Khrystynivka, Lebedyn, Shpola district and other settlements of the region. In particular, a tournament for the prizes of the Hero of Ukraine Serhiy Shaptala was held in Smilyansky district, a competition in memory of Afghan soldier Oleksandr Tatarkovsky and ATO soldiers was held in Chornobay village, and a tournament dedicated to Ukrainian Cossacks was held in Uman district.

Tournaments in Cherkasy and Zvenyhorodka took place among secondary schools. Also in Cherkasy and Talnivskyi district there were competitions for prizes of the club "Leather Ball", in Zolotonosha and Chyhyryn districts - tournaments among adult teams, and in Lysyanka - competitions among rural schoolchildren "Healthy Nation - Strong Country" and a match among veterans. A regional mini-football tournament among the teams of boarding schools also took place in Zvenigorodka. In addition, UEFA Mass Football Week was dedicated to the matches of the DUFL regional competitions, the regional championship among amateurs, veterans and women's teams. In total, about 7 people took part in all football events.

Chernivtsi region

The matches of the regional amateur championship, the 3rd round of the Ukrainian women's championship (first league), the matches of the Chernivtsi city championship, the matches of the regional championship among veterans 40+, the Bukovynian Rivers Cup, as well as the traditional "UEFA Mass Football Week" were dedicated to UEFA Mass Football Week. Open football lessons ", which was attended by dozens of students from schools in the regional center and districts of the region.
