UEFA awarded the Football Federation of Ukraine for the project of social responsibility
Project Football Federation of Ukraine and the Football Development of Ukraine Charitable Foundation «Play away, play everywhere» received a special award from the UEFA prestigious jury «GROW AWARDS 2018 » for the unique example реintegration of internally displaced children through football.

On October 31 in Riga (Latvia) during a solemn ceremony UEFA presented the most successful projects of development of national associations and awarded leaders. Projects were selected in five categories: image, increasing the number of players, attracting fans, development of women's football, profitability.

Separately, the members of the international expert jury noted several projects, including the FFU social responsibility project "Play away, play everywhere". Experts noted the Ukrainian work with internally displaced children and giving them the opportunity to join the game throughout Ukraine and thus once again feel like members of a great team and participants in a football holiday.

The project organized a number of tournaments for children in different regions, during which, in addition to positive emotions, they received balls and gifts. The events were conducted by pre-trained coaches, who were taught not only the intricacies of football training, but also the psychological basics of communication with children, which helped all participants feel as comfortable as possible. Internally displaced children also had the opportunity to bring the players of the national team of Ukraine and Ukrainian top clubs to the field before the most important matches and regularly communicate with their idols during specially organized autograph sessions.

Zoran Lakovic, Head of the UEFA Department for Cooperation with National Associations, presented the valuable award to FFU to Andriy Bondarenko, Director of FFU Production.
It will be recalled that the Play Away, Play Everywhere project was developed and implemented by the FFU together with the Football Development of Ukraine Charitable Foundation with the support of the UEFA Children's Fund during 2016-2017. Almost 22 children (both boys and girls) from all over Ukraine took part in the project, including about 000 internally displaced children. More than 8 volunteers joined the implementation, as well as more than 000 trainers who received special comprehensive training.

UEFA's GROW AWARDS award ceremony was held for the first time this year, replacing the marketing award and changing the vector to projects for the development of national associations and football in general. In total, the organizers received 106 applications in five categories. Therefore, the victory won by the Ukrainian project is very honorable.
