On November 9, as part of the celebration of the Railwayman's Day, a charity football match "Railwayman's Cup" between the Ukrzaliznytsia team (FC Express) and the team of journalists of Ukraine took place at the Lokomotiv Stadium in the capital.

The main purpose of the match was to help displaced children from Eastern Ukraine.

This match was organized by the Football Federation of Ukraine, PJSC "Ukrzaliznytsia" and the Information Agency "News Center".

Partners of the match were Atlas International Company LLC and Boris Medical Clinic.

Before the start of the game, Olga Vytak, the editor-in-chief of the News Center news agency, addressed the teams with a welcoming speech, saying that for the first time the Railwayman's Cup, which will become an annual event, is taking place at the Lokomotiv Stadium.

"Thank you to the teams that joined the charity match, which will result in the main victory - helping migrants from eastern Ukraine. This year, with the support of the football federation, our partners and sponsors, as last year, thousands of children who want to play sports will receive sports equipment, uniforms, equipment. Traditionally, the football match began with the National Anthem of Ukraine performed by a talented singer, the voice of "Dnipro-Arena" Yulia Tsyupylo. And the children who went to the match with the teams received football gifts from the organizer of the Railway Cup, the Football Federation of Ukraine.

In general, the game seemed even, and its natural result was to be a draw, and the teams seemed to be adjusting to the post-match penalty. But at the end of the match, in the 89th minute, the player of the national team of journalists Ivan Uzunov ("Ukrainian Truth") from the transfer of Roman Tymoschuk ("Football1 / Football2") scored through himself in the ninth. 1: 0.

As a result, the best goalkeeper of the match was Igor Tokarev (Ukrzaliznytsia team), the best defender was Dmytro Kapran (Ukrzaliznytsia team), the best forward was Ivan Uzunov (Ukrainian journalists team), and the best player was Serhiy Shkapa (Ukrainian journalists team).

The winners, the team of journalists, received the grand prize, the first Railway Cup, and symbolic gold medals, while the losers were satisfied with silver and good cheer.

Thus, the result of the Parliamentary Cup-2016 was the construction and arrangement of rooms of the correctional center "Primavera" for children with disabilities. After the Parliamentary Cup-2017, a children's sports ground was built and opened in the village of Komyshuvakha, Popasna district, Luhansk region (10 km from the demarcation line). Following the results of the Parliamentary Cup-2018 more than 50 children of the city of Kramatorsk received a football uniform and equipment.
