The draw for the European Women's Championships will take place on November 23 in Nyon

On November 23, during the draw in Nyon, the national teams of Ukraine WU-17 and WU-19 will learn the names of their rivals in the selection for the 2019 European Championship and 2020 European Championship.

Four draws will take place on 23 November at UEFA headquarters in Nyon, Switzerland. The first of them will start at 10 am Kyiv time. Ukraine's girls' national team WU-17 learns the names of its rivals in the qualifying round of the 2020 European Championship. A total of 44 teams out of 47 will take part in the draw. Spain and Germany, as the strongest teams in the Old World, will start the selection from the elite round. Sweden as the host of the tournament received a pass to the finals of the European Championship automatically. 

The other 44 teams are divided into four baskets for 11 teams. In addition to our team, there are Belarus, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Wales, Slovakia, Northern Ireland, Romania, Bulgaria, Lithuania, Azerbaijan and Israel.

After the draw in 11 groups, the hosts will be appointed. The matches of the qualifying round will take place approximately from August 15 to October 27, 2019. The group winners, the second place winners and the two best third place winners (following the matches with the first and second teams) will join Spain and Germany in the elite round. The draw for this stage will take place on November 22, 2019, and the matches - in the spring of 2020. In the elite round, seven teams will be determined that will form the company of Sweden in the final tournament.

Immediately after the first event, the draw for the elite round of the 2019 European Championship (WU-17) will take place at UEFA headquarters, where 28 teams will play. Unfortunately, the girls' national team of Ukraine WU-17 stopped the struggle to reach the finals of the European Championshipafter losing in the qualifying round to peers from Denmark and the Czech Republic.

The third draw will start at 11.00:2020 Kyiv time. The national team of Ukraine WU-19 will learn the names of its rivals in the qualifying round of the European Championship 48. XNUMX teams will take part in the fight to reach the final stage, which will take place in Georgia. The host team of the tournament received a direct pass to the final part. 

For the draw, 48 teams were divided into four baskets of 12 teams each according to their position in the UEFA rankings. The Ukrainian girls ended up in Basket C along with Turkey, Slovenia, Azerbaijan, Israel, Greece, Romania, Belarus, Wales, Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Faroe Islands.  

In each of the 12 groups of the qualifying round there will be one representative of baskets A, B, C and D. The hosts of the selected mini-tournaments, which must take place from August 27 to September 3 or from 1 to 8 October 2019, will be determined later. 

Passes to the elite round will be given to the two best teams in the qualifying groups, as well as the four best third-place winners in the matches against the two rivals who finished higher. The draw for this stage will take place on November 22, 2019, and the matches will take place in the spring of 2020. Seven participants of the elite round will go to the final tournament.

After the third draw, the fourth procedure will begin. During it, the national team of Ukraine WU-19 will receive rivals in the elite round of selection for Euro 2019, the final part of which will take place in Scotland.

It will be recalled that 48 out of 51 participants of the 2019 European Championship (WU-19) started in the qualifying round. 26 teams went to the next round, including Ukraine, joined by France and the reigning champion, Spain. Our team, along with the teams of Hungary, Slovakia, Sweden, the Czech Republic, Russia and Belgium, reached the third basket. Seven winners of the elite round groups (matches will take place on April 1-9) will reach the final stage, where Scotland will host them. The final matches will take place in July 2019. 

Recall that the final tournament will also become a qualification for the World Cup 2020 for girls under 20 years.
