UEFA Women's Team Rankings: Ukraine is back in 17th place

UEFA has published an updated ranking of national women's national teams.

According to the new indicators, the women's national team of Ukraine has risen one step and again ranks 17th in Europe.

Note that, in contrast to the FIFA rankings, the calculation of the overall UEFA indicator takes into account the official matches of the national team, played at the European Championship and World Cup - both in qualifying (including the playoffs) and in the finals. Friendly matches are not taken into account. Performances in the five previous periods are taken into account - three qualifying and two final parts of the last tournaments. 

Currently, the qualifying matches and the final stage of the 2015 World Cup and the 2017 European Championship, as well as the 2019 World Cup qualifiers, are used for the calculation. These indicators will be key in the formation of baskets for the draw of the qualifying round of Euro-2021.

As for the leaders of the European rating, the first place was regained by the players of England (+1). Representatives of France (+1) took the second place. The German national team closes the top three. The top five national teams of the Old World also included the teams of the Netherlands (-1) and Spain (+3). 

By the way, Ukraine is currently in the FIFA rating 25 place.
