Euro-2021 women's team: 15 final licenses win in two rounds of qualification

The next European Women's Football Championship, the 13th, will be held in the summer of 2021. The decision on the organizer of the tournament will be made by UEFA on December 3.

England officially announced its intention to hold the tournament in August 2017, among its competitors were considered Austria and Hungary, but in the end by the deadline, the application for the championship was submitted only by the British. In this regard, the decision on the venue of the tournament will take place without a voting procedure, and the application of a single candidate must still meet the requirements of UEFA. The host country of the Euro will be announced on December 3.

All 55 UEFA member countries have the opportunity to take part in the qualifying tournament for the European Championship: the host country automatically qualifies, the other 54 teams will take part in the qualifying competition to determine the 15 teams that will play in the Euro finals. 

Unlike previous qualifying events, this time round the preliminary round has been canceled and all participants will start selection from the qualifying group tournament. 

In the qualifying group tournament (will take place from August 2019 to September 2020) nine groups of five or six teams will be formed. Matches in groups will be held in a circle system. The nine group winners and the top three teams that qualify for second place directly qualify for the final tournament of the European Championship. The other second teams will take part in the playoffs.

In the playoffs (to be held in October 2020) six teams will play head-to-head matches for three passes. Pairs of teams will play two matches, the winners qualify for the final stage of the European Championship, according to womensfootball.com.ua.

We will remind that on February 22, 2019 there will be a draw of a qualifying round of Euro-2021 in which the national women's national team of Ukraine will take part also.
