Euro 2020 (U-17): Ukraine's youth team learns about their rivals in qualifying on December 6

The youth national team of Ukraine (current U-16 - players born in 2003, coach - Alexander Petrakov) will receive opponents in the qualifying round of the European Championship 2020 (U-17) during the draw, which will take place on December 6 in Nyon.

This procedure will involve 52 of the 55 national teams that will fight for victory in the continental championship. The hosts of the championship, the Estonians, received a pass to the finals automatically. The Spaniards and the British as the strongest teams in the UEFA rankings will start the selection from the elite round. The remaining participants were divided into four baskets of 13 teams according to their rating. The youth national team of Ukraine U-17 appeared in the basket of V.

Cart A: Germany, the Netherlands, France, Italy, Belgium, Portugal, Ireland, Austria, Sweden, Serbia, Scotland, Russia, Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Cart B: Croatia, Israel, Hungary, Slovenia, Poland, Turkey, Ukraine, Norway, Czech Republic, Greece, Switzerland, Denmark, Slovakia.

Cart C: Finland, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Cyprus, Wales, Iceland, Belarus, Bulgaria, Romania, Northern Ireland, Macedonia, Montenegro, Faroe Islands.

Cart D: Lithuania, Latvia, Albania, Armenia, Luxembourg, Moldova, Kazakhstan, Liechtenstein, Andorra, San Marino, Gibraltar, Malta, Kosovo.

During the draw, 13 teams of four teams will be formed (one representative of each basket). The hosts of the mini-tournaments will then be determined, and the matches will be completed by November 19, 2019.

The two strongest teams in each group and the best four teams, which will take third place (as a result of meetings with two leaders of their group), will reach the elite round. The matches of this stage will take place in March 2020.

In the elite round, all participants will be divided into eight groups. The winners of the groups and the seven best second teams (according to the results of the matches with the first and third teams of their group) will reach the final stage, where they will join the host of Euro - Estonia. The final tournament will take place in May 2020.
