Eight Regions Meet Open Soccer Lessons Festival

In previous ones publications we told how the Festival of Champions "Open Football Lessons" is moving through the regions of Ukraine this fall.

With the initiative and assistance of the FFU and the Football Development of Ukraine Charitable Foundation, eight more regions joined this important social project to help displaced children and servicemen and hosted the Open Football Lessons Champions Festival.

Ivano-Frankivsk region

192 children from 12 secondary schools of Sniatyn district joined the festival at the Kolos Stadium in Sniatyn, Ivano-Frankivsk Region.

Each day of the festival began with a dynamic warm-up. Then the instructors conducted with the children a variety of entertaining football games, competitions, contests and other sporting events on the principle of "sport for all". The football field was divided into 12 sectors, each of which employed a coach with an assistant. They shared the secrets of football with children, introduced them to exercises that help develop accuracy, speed and endurance. The children, united in teams, moved from sector to sector, where they were asked to perform one or another exercise or involved in the game.

The children were cared for not only by teachers and coaches, but also by police, school psychologists, and a medical worker on duty. Officers of the Sniatyn City Patrol Police Department held preventive talks with the participants of the event. First, the children learned about the peculiarities of the work of law enforcement officers, and then mentors in uniform promoted among them a healthy lifestyle, polite attitude to each other, the inadmissibility of committing any criminal or administrative offenses.

The children gladly participated in competitions, games and performed various exercises on the instructions of their mentors. The good mood of the football holiday was reinforced by the musical accompaniment.

The Sweet Cup was also held as part of the festival, as a result of which the best players were awarded prizes.

After the festival, a solemn award ceremony took place. Each child received a T-shirt and a commemorative badge, physical education teachers - sports suits, schools - soccer balls and other sports equipment provided by the Football Federation of Ukraine.

It is hoped that the hours spent on the playground are not in vain, and many of the children will decide to choose an active and healthy lifestyle and join a friendly football family.

Kherson region and the Football Federation of Crimea

Pupils of OTG Askania-Nova secondary schools met the Festival of Champions "Open Football Lessons" at the stadium "Askania-Arena".

During the festival, young athletes had fun with the ball, performed interesting tasks, participated in relay races, learned fun football exercises and even held real friendly football matches, where they had the opportunity to get to know each other.

At one of the sites, the children also talked to a police officer who told them about the rules of behavior in different life situations. At the site of the school psychologist, boys and girls were able to fantasize and play in a friendly atmosphere.

The main goal of this festival was not to achieve results in competitions, but to get positive emotions and joy from games and sports entertainment. The Football Federation of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea held "Open Football Lessons" so that children, regardless of their level of abilities, gender and social status, would join the holiday and enjoy football.

Sumy region

Special - unusual and festive - was the opening day of the festival for children of the village of Stepanovka, Sumy region. About 200 children had the honor to represent their schools and their united territorial community on the field of the sports complex "Sports for All".

In the area where the master of sports of the international football class Oleg Gusev grew up, children under the close supervision of coaches and volunteers performed various interesting exercises and tasks with balls, cones, chips, ropes and other accessories provided by the football federations of Ukraine and Sumy. area. Before starting work at 12 stations, all participants were warmed up by the master of sports of international class Lyudmila Shelest.

In the end, everyone will be satisfied: children who received a charge of vigor and energy from participating in a major sporting event, and teachers and coaches who received new equipment that can now be used in their physical education and football training, improving their quality .

Volyn region

The participants of the festival were students of secondary schools in the villages of Buzhany, Myrkiv, Kholoniv, Shklin, Myrne, Mykhlyn, Pustomyty, Skobelka, Maryanivka and Berestechko and Gorokhiv.

The football federations of Ukraine, Volyn and Gorokhiv district organized a mass action, which became useful for the growth of young masters of leather ball. The schoolchildren were greeted by the heads of government agencies. Each participant visited 12 sites, where volunteers were taught ball possession and rules of conduct in stadiums.

At the end, the organizers presented sports equipment to secondary schools, and each participant of the festival received a T-shirt in memory. The children also had the opportunity to take photos and get autographs from the players of the national team of Ukraine among veterans, who visited Gorokhov the same day for the match against the team of veterans of the club "Agroproduct".

Transcarpathian region

150 schoolchildren from Khust took part in this all-Ukrainian project for five days.

Local volunteers, coaches from the Khust-Narcissus CYSS and police representatives did their best to help displaced children, servicemen and children from vulnerable families.

Odessa and Real Madrid

Then the Festival of Champions visited Odessa. Its grand opening took place on the large football field of NTB "Chernomorets".

This time the festival was unique, because the organizers managed to combine it with the first master class of Real Madrid coaches in Ukraine. Children from all Odessa region, and also Nikolaev and Kherson were invited to participate in both projects.

Together, the coaches of the Royal Club and the volunteers of the Open Football Lessons held a wonderful football holiday for more than 150 children who attended the festival. Each child received a T-shirt with the autographs of the coaches of one of the world's leading clubs, as well as a huge portion of positive emotions.

Lviv region

The festival also reached the stadium named after Bogdan Markevich, in Vinnytsia.

In total, about two hundred children of all ages (both boys and girls) from 10 teams of Lviv, Vinnytsia, Novoyavorivsk, Remenov, Novy Yarychiv and Chishok took part in it.

The football field was divided into 12 squares, in each of which young football players under the tutelage of experienced mentors performed a variety of fun exercises with balls, cones, hoops, skipping ropes, ropes, mastering the elements of football. During the break, the participants of the sporting event ate delicious cookies and quenched their thirst.

During the award ceremony, the First Deputy Chairman of the Football Federation of Lviv Region Yaroslav Hrysio and the Deputy Chairman, Executive Director of the Federation Stepan Ponaida presented all participants of the festival with commemorative medals and T-shirts, and the teams - soccer balls.

Kharkiv region

It has already become a good tradition that the Kharkiv Regional Football Federation, following the FFU festivals, organizes additional festivals independently entirely at the expense of local resources.

Such was the festival of football in Mali Danylivka at the local lyceum for children from all over the area.

The students not only performed interesting exercises and participated in relays and games, but also communicated with a psychologist and the National Police. The young participants received a lot of positive emotions.

Finally, the children received sets of soccer balls and equipment needed for football and other sports.
