The general meeting of UPL participants discussed the format of competitions next season

Today, December 20, the General Meeting of participants took place at the House of Football Ukrainian Premier League.

The general meeting was attended by: from the Premier League - President Thomas Grimm, Vice President Markiyan Klyuchkovsky, the full directorate, representatives of UPL clubs; from the Football Federation of Ukraine - Secretary General Yuriy Zapisotsky, responsible for the certification of FFU football clubs Serhiy Zadiran, Chairman of the Ethics and Fair Play Committee Francesco Baranka.

The main issue on the agenda was the number of UPL participants in the next season. After discussing the financial, tournament, infrastructure and commercial criteria, most FC called for maintaining the current format of competition with 12 clubs for next season.

Finally, the appeal of the FFU National Teams Committee and the coaching staff of the national team to postpone the match of the 22nd round of the UPL Championship in connection with the preparations for the match with Portugal in the selection for the Euro 2020 final was considered.

However, given the specifics of this round, and he will be reminded, the last one before the division into six, this issue has not yet found support from club representatives.
