2018: the results of the year for the women's national team of Ukraine
In 2018, our national women's team held In 12 matches, in which she won seven, drew twice and suffered three defeats (the difference between goals scored and conceded - 20-11).
It will be recalled that the main team of the country started the year at the Turkish Women's Cup 2018 tournament in Turkey, where it took third place. The rivals of our girls were the national teams of Romania (0:0), Kosovo (2:0), Northern Ireland (3:1) and Poland (0:0).
This year, the national team continued to fight for a place in the finals of the 2019 World Cup. As part of the qualification, the team played six matches: in early April, the blue and yellows won a convincing victory over the Croats - 3:0 and suffered minimal defeat in Denmark - 0:1.
The next test for Ukraine was two home matches with the leaders of the group: in a duel with Denmark, our girls lost - 1:5, and in a couple of days sensationally beat Sweden - 1:0.
The decisive match was to be in Sweden, which Volodymyr Reva's wards, unfortunately, lost - 0:3, losing all chances to reach the final part. Finished qualifying Ukrainian with a home match against Hungary, in which they won a convincing victory - 2:0 and took the third place in the group.
The last training camp in the calendar year was held in November. Under the leadership of a new coach, Natalia Zinchenko, the team went to the training camp in Turkey, which ended with two control matches with the football players of Kosovo (4:1, 4:0).
