Kharkiv Regional Higher School of Physical Education Opens New Artificial Coated Football Field

Students of Kharkiv Regional Higher School of Physical Education and Sports will now be able to play football and train on a new field with modern artificial coverage.

The grand opening of the facility last weekend was attended by the head of the Kharkiv Regional State Administration Yulia Svitlychna, the Minister of Youth and Sports of Ukraine Ihor Zhdanov and the first vice-president of the Football Federation of Ukraine Vadym Kostyuchenko.  

"We received a great gift that will serve for decades not only to the children of our school, but also to the children of the entire Kharkiv region and Ukraine. I am sure that worthy people will grow up in these gyms in this stadium. We will have champions. Thank you very much from all the children! ” - Anatoliy Popov, the director of the school, thanked the guests of the holiday.

In turn, Vadym Kostyuchenko conveyed greetings from FFU President Andriy Pavelko and head coach of the Ukrainian national team Andriy Shevchenko, as well as thanked them for their hospitality. "I want to thank the Kharkiv region for the fact that the national team of Ukraine got its home here. In the last two years, the national team at the USC Metalist has held three meetings - with Serbs, Turks and Czechs - and won three victories. I am grateful to everyone who supports the team, "said Vadym Kostyuchenko.

Also, a representative of the FFU handed over to the students of the institution certificates for free attendance of all matches of the national team of Ukraine and a ball with the autographs of the players of the national team for the school museum.
