U-16: Alexander Petrakov summoned another player to collect

On January 17, Alexander Petrakov's players will play a friendly match with the national team of Belarus.

The head coach of the U-16 youth national team of Ukraine Oleksandr Petrakov has five days to lead the team to a common denominator before the start of the Development Cup tournament, which will take place in Minsk from January 20 to 28. Although it should be noted that it will not be easy for the coach, because there are no players of Dynamo Kyiv in the blue-yellow team. Moreover, the Ukrainian national team will be represented at the competitions by performers born in 2003, while most teams will involve one year older players.

In the capital of Belarus the Ukrainian delegation located in Aqua-Minsk Hotel. Trainings are held twice. The exception will be January 17. On this day, Oleksandr Petrakov's wards will meet the national team of Belarus in a friendly match (the match will start at 12.00 Kyiv time). As for personnel issues, Dnipro midfielder Ivan Matyushenko was called to the national team's location.

According to the format of the tournament, the winners of the groups and the best team among those who will take the second places will reach the semifinals. For the 5th-8th position will compete the two worst teams from those who will be second in the quartets, and the two best teams among those who will take third place. The rest of the participants are arguing for the 9th-12th steps.

Note that last year the winner of the Development Cup became the U-17 national team of Ukraine, headed by Oleg Kuznetsov. Overall, the blue and yellows have won the tournament four times (2009, 2012, 2016, 2018).

We add that for Alexander Petrakov's team this tournament is one of the stages of preparation for Qualifying Round for Euro-2020 (U-17).
