Officially. Kharkiv is among the contenders for the UEFA Super Cup in 2021
UEFA has accepted the application files from nine national associations vying for the 2021 European Cup finals.
The process of applying and selecting stadiums for the finals of the UEFA Champions League, UEFA Europa League, UEFA Women's Champions League and the UEFA Super Cup 2021 started in October 2018.
In total, nine associations submitted their application dossiers to UEFA by the deadline (February 15, 2019).
UEFA Champions League:
- Germany, Munich, "Arena Munich";
- Russia, St. Petersburg, "St. Petersburg".
UEFA Europa League:
- Georgia, Tbilisi, Dynamo Arena;
- Spain, Sevilla, "Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan".
UEFA Super Cup:
- Belarus, Minsk, Dynamo;
- Northern Ireland, Belfast, Windsor Park;
- Ukraine, Kharkiv, Metalist;
- Finland, Helsinki, "Olympic".
UEFA Women's Champions League:
- Sweden, Gothenburg, Gamla Ullevi.
The UEFA Executive Committee will name the associations that will host the UEFA Europa League finals, the UEFA Women's Champions League and the UEFA Super Cup on 29 May 2019.
The decision on the venue of the UEFA Champions League final will be made in September 2019, and the application process will not be renewed, and will choose between two registered applicants.
UEFA also announced that it has begun the process of accepting applications for the finals of the UEFA Champions League in 2022 and 2023. Relevant decisions will also be made in September 2019. National associations can express their interest in applying for these finals until March 22, 2019.
