U-20: Ukraine national team finds names of contenders in group round of 2019 World Cup

The draw for the 2019 World Cup among U-20 youth national teams took place in Gdynia, Poland today.

Among the participants of the draw was the national team of Ukraine. Oleksandr Petrakov's wards were in the third seed basket at the last five world championships in the U-20 category. By lot, our team got to Group D, where its rivals were Qatar, Nigeria and the United States.

According to the rules of the 2019 World Cup (U-20), the two strongest teams of each group will reach the 1/8 finals, as well as the four best teams out of six, which will take third place. Then the medal contenders will play in the playoffs before the final match. 

The 2019 U-20 World Championships in Poland will take place in six cities from May 23 to June 15. The final match will take place in Lodz.
