Second League: Tavriya-Simferopol managed to avoid withdrawal from distance

In one of our reviews, we noted that the authorities of the Beryslav district of the Kherson region, where Tavriya-Simferopol has recently been stationed, promised that the team would not stop playing in the second league of Ukraine.

And they kept their word: after a long vacation, Serhiy Shevchenko's wards started preparing for the spring part of the season and even managed to play two sparring matches with local amateur teams. So far, there are 18 players in the training camp, the vast majority of whom are potential recruits. By the way, stopper Mikhail Tserbo, known for performances for IFC "Nikolaev", will defend colors of "Tavria-Simferopol" again. From March 9 to 16, Shevchenko's wards in Kherson will take part in the Open Cup of the Football Federation of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea.

But in Ivano-Frankivsk, the tournament for the mayor's prizes has already ended. In the final, Rivne's Veres won over Transcarpathian Minai in a series of post-match penalties - 5: 3 (playing time - 0: 0). By the way, in this match the head coach of the winners Oleh Shandruk could count on only 13 players for various reasons. Rivne residents were satisfied with the reception in Ivano-Frankivsk and decided to hold the next stage of preparation in this regional center. Two sparring matches are also planned - with Chernivtsi's Bukovyna and Ternopil's Niva.

The new president of FC Vadym Zayats is trying not to miss any training of Chernivtsi football players. Dmytro Baranov and Artem Merkushov, who played for Zhytomyr's Polissya last fall, and Vitaliy Burko, who previously defended the colors of Poltava's Vorskla youth team, became regular newcomers to Bukovyna. However, most likely, in the coming days in "Bukovyna" there will be several experienced performers who played for the Chernivtsi team, even when the current president of FC was at its helm - in particular, the wagon Oleg Kerchu.

In Khmelnytsky on March 3 the winners of competitions for prizes of the mayor were defined. The first-league "Agribusiness" from Volochysk ascended the highest step of the pedestal of honor, which was five points ahead of the nearest pursuer - the local "Podillya". Among the participants of the tournament was Vinnytsia's Niva, whose ranks were joined by 13 newcomers at once, most of whom previously represented amateur teams of the region.

But one of the leaders of group "B", "Miner", manages at the same time to participate in the drawing of the Unity Cup, organized by the Football Federation of Dnipropetrovsk region, and to hold control matches. In the last of them, Kryvyi Rih lost to the amateur team "LNZ-Lebedyn" from Cherkasy region - 2: 4. After the final whistle, Miner's manager Hennadiy Prykhodko said that such sparring matches are also needed because they help to more realistically assess the level of training of the wards.
