Vitaly Odegov: "I would give the guys a grade of" good "for the actions of five field players

The head coach of the Ukrainian U-19 futsal team Vitaliy Odegov praised the actions of his wards in sparring matches against their peers from Serbia.

A few days ago, the youth national team of Ukraine held two away control matches against the Serbs - and, unfortunately, lost in both matches, which took place in the cities of Vranje (4:5) and Leskovac (1:2). After returning the team home, we talked with her mentor Vitaly Odegov.

- Are you satisfied with the actions of your wards? What nuances did you pay attention to?

- I can't say unequivocally. We are dissatisfied with the result. In some aspects of the game there were pros, in some - cons. The same goes for the players - someone sparred at their level, and someone dropped out, and they wanted more.

— Did the guys manage to show character?

- In general - yes. Since our team is not too large, and we had to face massive tough guys, the manifestation of character took place. In the second half of the second match we managed to resist the physical strength of the opponent. And in the first sparring we lost three goals, but managed to turn the game around, were close to equalizing the score. This suggests that the players showed strong-willed qualities.

— How would you rate the game of our team with the fifth field? We managed to score a few goals in this way...

- With Serbia, we conducted our attacks quite confidently, but a lot depends on the actions of the opponent in defense. In this case, the owners acted passively, gave us a lot of freedom. If the opponent plays in a different way, it is unclear how the game will turn out at five field. However, in the fights with the Serbs, I would rate my wards as "good" for this aspect.

— When the match starts the main round of selection for Euro 2019which are for the national team of Ukraine will be held on 26—March 29 in Macedonia?

- The team will gather on the 19th in Brovary, hold a six-day training camp, and on the 25th we will fly to Macedonia.
