Under the auspices of the FFU starts a new season of football competitions among participants of hostilities

On March 24 at 10.00 at the Central stadium in the city of Vyshneve, near Kiev, the competition of the All-Ukrainian Football League of ATO-2019 Heroes will start, organized by the Football Federation of Ukraine and FFU ATO with the support of the Ministry of Veterans Affairs. Also, shortly under the auspices of the FFU, the Open Championship of Ukraine of the ATO Heroes starts. Both tournaments are attended by about a hundred teams from all regions of Ukraine.

In the future, it is planned to combine the competition into a single championship among combatants. Such an initiative has already been supported by the President's Commissioner for Rehabilitation of Combatants Vadym Svyridenko and the Minister for Veterans' Affairs of Ukraine Iryna Friz.

In particular, Vadym Svyridenko noted that "football championships held under the auspices of the Football Federation of Ukraine, namely - the Open Championship of Ukraine ATO Heroes and the ATO Heroes Cup, it would be appropriate to hold annually as a single football event for all ATO / OOS heroes." According to Iryna Friz, such an association will contribute to the quality organization and conduct of competitions, greater coverage of persons in need of rehabilitation after the assignment, prevention of commercialization and politicization of football events with the participation of current servicemen of the security and defense sector of Ukraine, reduction of military workload. parts on the basis of which the teams playing in two championships are formed.

Since 2014, the Football Federation of Ukraine and its President Andriy Pavelko have supported all competitions held among teams formed of defenders of Ukraine, as the main goal of the FFU is, among other things, comprehensive assistance to combatants.
