In the first "Cup of Trust" the children's team from Lviv region won

Today, March 24, in Kyiv happened final of the first in Ukraine children's football tournament "Trust Cup", which was organized under the auspices of the Football Federation of Ukraine, with the support of the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF) in Ukraine, the Foundation for Football Development of Ukraine, the National Police of Ukraine and the Ministry of Education and Science .

According to the project coordinator, Iryna Makarevych, a representative of the Football Development of Ukraine Charitable Foundation, for six months about 600 girls and boys who took part in the competition trained under the guidance of police officers - juvenile prevention inspectors and patrol police.

"59 mixed children's teams from Lviv, Kharkiv, Donetsk, Kyiv regions and the city of Kyiv took part in the Trust Cup project. And although only four teams made it to the finals, all participants of the tournament are winners! ”Makarevych noted.

In the fierce struggle between the leaders of the competition, the gold medals of the "Cup of Trust" tournament were won by the "Aviator" team (Gorodok, Lviv region). The second place was taken by the team "Mariupol United" (Mariupol, Donetsk region). The third place was won by the team of the Gymnasium № 86 in Kharkiv, the team "Arsenal" Baryshivka (Baryshivka, Kyiv region) finished fourth.

On behalf of the national team of Ukraine, the first vice-president of the FFU Oleh Protasov came to congratulate the winners and participants of the competition.

"On behalf of the national team that will play tomorrow against Luxembourg, accept congratulations. You played your matches at a high level. Football is a game we love very much. It allows us to communicate with each other, to gain experience. The main thing is that such tournaments help you to be worthy citizens of our country. Play football, good luck to you, "Protasov stressed.

Personal greetings to all participants of the project were conveyed by the President of the Football Federation of Ukraine Andriy Pavelko: “I sincerely admire your energy and love for football and I am proud of how talented Ukrainian youth is! I believe that you will be successful athletes, entrepreneurs, scientists and managers, and we, adults, will do everything possible to help you grow healthy and happy. It is extremely important that football helps to unite children and young people from different parts of Ukraine, helps you find new friends, learn teamwork and find compromises. I wish you sports and personal victories, and the Football Federation of Ukraine will always be happy to support all your football initiatives! ” - noted Andriy Pavelko.

In addition, the President of the FFU stressed the importance of cooperation between the football community of our country and the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF). "FFU is a reliable partner of UNICEF and together we have already organized several important projects under the signed memorandum of cooperation. In particular, it is the UNICEF football Cup, which was attended by about 5 thousand children from five frontline regions, and joint social actions of FFU and UNICEF at the matches of the national team of Ukraine, and other projects. This is important for our children and important for the development of Ukraine's future! ” - Andrey Pavelko emphasized.

In addition to children's competitions, the tournament program included a friendly game between mixed teams of journalists, employees of the Football Federation of Ukraine and the National Police of Ukraine. As a result, the team "Elite" with a score of 6: 2 defeated the "Champions Team". The mixed teams included: Maryan Yaskiv, Vlad Ovcharenko (FFU), Oleksandr Gaponenko (Ukrainian national team), Vitaliy Romanov, Ivan Butko, Yuriy Kitsul, Oleh Ostapchuk, Oleksiy Krupenya (National Police of Ukraine) and Iryna Vasyliuk women's national team of Ukraine). Excursions to the Football House, the Klitschko Brothers Museum and the Olimpiysky National Sports Complex were also organized for the finalists. 

Certificate. The Football Development of Ukraine Charitable Foundation, in cooperation with the UN Children's Fund (UNICEF) in Ukraine, the National Police of Ukraine, the Football Federation of Ukraine, and the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, is implementing the Trust Cup social project.

Purpose of the project: establishing a trusting relationship between children and law enforcement officials through sports, including football, as well as promoting the social cohesion of children, providing meaningful leisure, which, in turn, will contribute to prevention.

The project is based on the concept of "Sport for Development", a UNICEF global initiative implemented around the world and aims not to win, but to develop the ability to work in a team, build trust and mutual respect, foster values ​​and attitudes necessary for children to succeed realize your potential.
