New Season of Open Soccer Lessons Starts in Zaporozhye
From April 2 to 8, Zaporizhia will open a new season of the FFU Open Football Lessons social project, which is supported by the European Union.
In Zaporizhzhya within seven days there will be training for volunteers of the project from nine regions of Ukraine: Donetsk, Lugansk, Kharkiv, Dnipropetrovsk, Zaporizhia, Kherson, Mykolaiv, Odessa and Kiev regions.
The three seminars, which will take place in the city on the Dnieper, will be attended by 230 physical education teachers, child coaches, school psychologists and juvenile prevention police officers, who in turn will train as many of their assistants - young leaders who are future volunteers.
The official opening and press conference "Open Football Lessons: Helping IDP Children" (starting at 2:19 p.m.) will take place on Tuesday, April 15.30, in the conference hall of the Reykarts Hotel in Zaporizhia (XNUMX Mayakovsky Ave.). A promotional video and an updated textbook for volunteers will be presented at a press conference dedicated to the start of the project.

The participants of the press conference will be: Yevhen Stolitenko, national project coordinator from the Football Federation of Ukraine; Vadym Stirbu, Sector Manager of the Delegation of the European Union to Ukraine; Hanne Madsen, Program Director of the Association of Cross-Cultural Projects (Denmark); Viktor Mezheiko, Chairman of the Zaporizhia Regional Football Federation; Eduard Gugnin, Deputy Head of the Zaporizhia Regional State Administration; Natalia Vlasova, Head of the Department of Youth, Physical Culture and Sports of the Zaporizhia Regional State Administration, as well as the head coach of Luhansk Zorya Yuriy Vernydub.
As FFU First Vice-President Vadym Kostyuchenko noted, FFU continues its course for the development of grassroots football in Ukraine: “We continue to help IDPs from Donbass and Crimea to integrate into local host communities. This year, more than 7000 children and more than 800 volunteers will be involved in the project. "
